Chatting With Sherri welcomes talented author; Nicholas Diak!  I used to attend the Popular Culture/American Culture Association conference were I presented on Italian genre films however, I quit doing that when I co-founded with Michele Brittany the Ann Radcliffe Academic Conference which focuses on horror studies. -My first book was on peplum and sword and sandal films of the 90s and beyond, such as Xena and Gladiator.  My most recent published essay is about synthwave and the the music of Stranger Things.  Currently co-editing a book with Michele Brittany about horror literature. - If I had a goal in my writing, it's to explore topics at the borders of pop culture that have not really been written about or explored before. I like taking the off beat path to understand things. I like exploring the derivatives, the knock offs, the copy cats of culture phenomenon. I like exploring the connectivity of how things influence each other and ultimately like to offer critical re-assessment to things once disregar
