The last of the unbeatens get the Monday night spotlight for Week 10 in the NFL as San Francisco hosts Seattle.  There would be two unbeaten teams except Baltimore cleaned the clocks of New England in Week 9.  Jay and Dre look back on Week 9 action before making their selections ATS for Week 10.  On the docket besides Seahawks-49ers: MVP Pat Mahomes returns for the Chiefs as they visit the Titans, Kyle Allen will lead the Panthers the rest of the season and the latest test is stout at Green Bay, and it could be a high-scoring contest on Sunday night between the Vikings and the Cowboys.   Theme credit: "Deep Of The Street" by Jeremie Guerrier   CC BY-ND 4.0

Halloween is next week, but Sam Darnold was seeing ghosts early on a ghoulish Monday night loss to the Pats.  Jay and Dre chat about the events of Week 7 in the NFL, which left them totally even on the year making picks ATS and in Locks as well.  Then they dig into the upcoming Week 8.  The Eagles try to stop their slide in Buffalo, the 49ers and Patriots have home dates as they try to stay undefeated, the Packers get to visit Kansas City but not Pat Mahomes, and England is gifted with a Bengals-Rams game for reasons yet unexplained.   Theme credit: "Deep Of The Street" by Jeremie Guerrier   CC BY-ND 4.0

It's never a good look for any sports league when referee incompetence stands out as the main headline, but that's exactly what stood out after the NFL's Week 6, particularly Monday night in Green Bay.  Jay and Dre discuss the happenings and the impact of Pat Mahomes getting his kneecap rearranged this past Thursday, then make their picks ATS for Week 7, including: A key NFC North battle between the high-flying Vikings and the freshly screwed Lions, a key AFC South matchup between DeShaun Watson's Texans and Jacoby Brissett's Colts, a showcase of athletic QBs as Lamar Jackson's Ravens visit Russell Wilson's Seahawks, and because it's contractually mandated, SNF in Dallas as the Eagles take on the Cowboys.   Theme credit: "Deep Of The Street" by Jeremie Guerrier   CC BY-ND 4.0

Jay returns from his vacation and describes his adventures in a hot air balloon.  He and Dre are familiar with ups and downs this season, and coming off matching 6-9 records for NFL Week 5, they try to steer in the right direction for the upcoming slate of games.  Two of the young lions in the game square off as DeShaun Watson's Texans visit Patrick Mahomes' Chiefs, two potent offenses hook up in an NFC West showdown as the 49ers take on the Rams, and control of the NFC North is at stake on Monday night between two one-loss squads in the Lions and Packers.   Theme credit: "Deep Of The Street" by Jeremie Guerrier   CC BY-ND 4.0

Jay and Dre both felt trepidation about their Week 3 picks due to all of the new jacks under center, and they were underwater picking those games.  Of the four games both guys handicapped correctly, the only one featuring a QB that wasn't a Week 1 starter was the Gardner Minshew Show on Thursday.  The kid QBs fared relatively well, much to the chagrin of certainly many bettors as well as the show hosts.  They try to get back on track picking the Week 4 action, and all those replacements make return engagements except Luke Falk and the Jets, who are on bye.  The Patriots and Bills battle for control of the AFC East and a perfect record, the Chiefs and Lions engage in a battle of undefeated teams, and Baker Mayfield battles his struggles and maybe his coach as the Browns visit the Ravens.   Theme credit: "Deep Of The Street" by Jeremie Guerrier   CC BY-ND 4.0

Week 1 in the NFL saw Jaguars free agent QB Nick Foles get his shoulder shattered, and we all shook our heads and said "Too bad."  Then Week 2 saw two all-time QBs get severely hurt, one for the rest of the season, and others get injured, and we said "Damn!"  Then a couple more QBs were sacked by their coaches and benched for Week 3, and we said...well, we shoulda seen those benchings coming.  And then there was the Antonio Brown Era in New England, which lasted about thirty seconds.  The guys go over a bananas Week 2 before picking all the action in Week 3, including two mega-point spreads for Dolphins-Cowboys and Jets-Patriots and a great matchup of two young lions when the Ravens visit the Chiefs.   Theme credit: "Deep Of The Street" by Jeremie Guerrier   CC BY-ND 4.0

And you thought Antonio Brown couldn't make things stranger once he became a Patriot.  AB made headlines again this week when his former trainer sued him for rape, and with that, New England is as deep into the Antonio Brown Experience as they could hope to be.  Jay and Dre recap the NFL news of the week and a sloppy handicapping start to the season.  Then they jump into picking the Week 2 games, which includes the Pats trying to integrate their newest teammate versus the easiest possible foe in Miami, the Jags led by something named Gardner Minshew II facing J.J. Jay held an observation of Week 1 in the NFL looking like Preseason Week 5 thanks to the lack of August game reps many players get.  Everyone who watched that pitiful display of offense on Thursday concurs.  It was even the hot Twitter joke after the game, but remember, Jay said it first in the season preview show.  The boys chat about the Packers opening the NFL's 100th season by smothering the Bears, then they dig into the rest of Week 1.  Jack Brisket's first assignment as Colts franchise QB is versus a Chargers unit that went 12-4 last year, MVP Pat Mahomes takes his Chiefs on the road against an always hyped Jaguars defense, the World champion Pats open on Sunday night hosting a hungry Steelers squad, and on Monday night the Texans and Saints threaten to short-circuit the scoreboard, followed by the aftermath of the Antonio Brown soap opera as the Raiders host the Broncos.   Theme credit: "Deep Of The Street" by Jeremie Guerrier   CC BY-ND 4.0

Dre gave the listeners his Kentucky Derby picks at the end of the last podcast, so he spent the week leading up to the race debating whether he should play his hunch.  Hear Dre describe to Jay his Derby Day adventure as he and millions of others watched history. Jay and Dre catch up on the hectic last couple of weekends.  On this pop-up show, Jay talks about the fantasy baseball draft and a couple of trips to Chicago, and Dre's trip produced some Tales From The Megabus.  The guys also chat about the wild March Madness, the 7½-hour (!) John Oliver is highly unlikely to listen, but the boys will preview Wrestlemania 35 anyway along with Jerry the Wrestling Expert.  WWE will spend the week before the grandest stage of them all attempting to bask in the glow of having Grrlpower as the main event for the first time evah while defending its archaic labor practices.  What does the card itself bring to the table?  Will Ronda Rousey's star power translate to Becky Lynch should Lynch win the women's three-way?  Does Charlotte Flair and the Smackdown women's title in the mix add much spice?  Will dueling underdog stories in the men's title matches cancel each other out, or is there enough sympathy to go around for Seth Rollins and Kofi Kingston?  Will the no-rules stips allow HHH & Batista and Shane McMahon & The Miz to find a way to make their matches exciting?  And in this era of fast-rising competition for talent, would anyone be shocked if Vince brought Gronk in to grab more headlines?    Theme music credit: "Anthemic" by Djmarbll

With only so many teams actually competing, it's difficult to have a varied discussion about mutiple possible World Series contenders.  We all know there are only a handful of teams that could possibly win it all.  But Jay and Dre will once again preview the upcoming baseball season while trying to avoid picking the exact same playoff teams.  Will it be a Beantown repeat?  Will the Bronx Bombers break through?  Will there finally be a crown brought back to Chavez Ravine?  Will there be a Cubbie or Astro revival?  Or will there be some shocking new blood in the mix?  Listen and find out!   Theme music credit: "Anthemic" by Djmarbll   CC BY-SA 3.0
