Ogre is making his first appearance on the show, he is here to talk about his annual events that he hosts in Frostburg.  When Ogre is not working hard he is  growing some of the worlds hottest pepper varieties, and boy are they tasty.    Enjoy!       

We are thinking spring with weather in the upper 60's and 70's we are busy planning our food based fun.  Mark talks Maple Syrup and Tim is planning the garden. So if you are inclined, tap your maples and germinate those seeds..   

Mike Thompson is back to discuss the 2017 National Photography competition. The Allegany Arts Council is putting out the call for entries and the deadline is Feb. 27, 2017 so be sure to enter to win over $5,000 in cash prizes. The Juror of this prestigious competition is Shannon Thomas Perich, she is the curator of historic photography at the Smithsonian.  There are several events scheduled celebrating photography month. The ever popular  kids photo boot camp is happening April 1, 2017 space is limited so call the Arts Council to grab your spot. The Allegany Museum is hosting a "history in your attic"  a photo retrospective for the entire month, featuring old photography of our region. Jen Browne from the Frostburg State Creative Literature Center returns! We discuss a schedule of spring events  and call for submissions to engage with our wonderful creative community. Dr. Johnny O is back with his first episode of his political series for RTL. In this episode we are learning all about  executive orders, memorandum, and proclamations. We are using current events to help the public at large learn and be able to relate to the topics being discussed in this series. Dr. Johnny O is wanting to convey facts and knowledge about how our government works and how you can fully participate in the democratic process. Jess is back to discuss all of the exciting events that have happened since we last chatted. Frostburg Maryland was selected as one of the top eight small towns to compete for $500,000.00 to help the small business community.  The small business revolution stopped by Frostburg on January 9, 2017 and had a chance to meet business owners and the people who make up this great town. I had the privilege to speak with Betsey about the upcoming Women's March on Washington. Betsey knowing how important this event will be; spearheaded an effort to coordinate a bus for people wishing to travel to Washington DC for the March. Betsey had such a response that there is a current waiting list for the bus, we do discuss other options for travel and how you can find a bus from your area to the march.
