  • National Photography Exhibition #97

    Mike Thompson is back to discuss the 2017 National Photography competition. The Allegany Arts Council is putting out the call for entries and the deadline is Feb. 27, 2017 so be sure to enter to win over $5,000 in cash prizes. The Juror of this prestigious competition is Shannon Thomas Perich, she is the curator of historic photography at the Smithsonian.  There are several events scheduled celebrating photography month. The ever popular  kids photo boot camp is happening April 1, 2017 space is limited so call the Arts Council to grab your spot. The Allegany Museum is hosting a "history in your attic"  a photo retrospective for the entire month, featuring old photography of our region.
