The GABA Cast #67. BASEBALL RIVALRY WEEK
28/02/2017 Duration: 43minThe boys are still minus Rantin' Rhonda due to scheduling conflicts at the Big Lots, but she will return next week (allegedly). You know who else wasn't here Sunday? The baseball team. In fact, they've not shown up on Sunday yet this year. They emailed you about it a couple weeks ago. Promise.Back to the show. This week, we recap the most recent basketball action, including the men's dominating victory over Tennessee, and a live update on the Lady Gamecocks fourth consecutive SEC regular season title. We also look forward to the most important slate of games of the season for both teams (which include must-win games for the men to lock up an NCAA) and contemplate who we'd put on our Gamecock Basketball Mount Rushmore. As always, we hope you enjoy.Drive safe, Go Cocks, don't forget to tip your waitress.

The GABA Cast: Your only source for year-round Gamecock sports sadness.
21/02/2017 Duration: 54minHello, friends.Tonight we celebrate a tradition like no other: Gamecock sports teams letting us down. It's as old as time itself, heck, it might be older than time, but that's what makes us who we are. This past week, the South Carolina Gamecocks suffered gut-wrenching setbacks in both men's and women's basketball while the baseball team endured a strange (but okay?) loss to a sattelite school for the University of North Carolina. Handwringing aside, this was a strange weekend to be a Carolina fan.So, what better way to cope with loss than to talk about it?Lets do that. This week, we go hard in the paint (like our basketball teams should've) and stop being nice guys and start getting real. We dive deep on the basketball program, and answer questions like, 'can PJ Dozier and Sindarius Thornwell co-exist on the court?' and 'why the Lady Gamecocks leading ladies might be holding them back'. Of course, we go wildly off-course and discuss some random things like we always do, but we bring it home with the largest

The GABA Cast, Episode 61. Hoops Talk.
18/01/2017 Duration: 48minLet's talk Basketball! The men's team is 4-0 in league play, something that hasn't happened since before cell phones were a thing, and they look to ride that momentum into a really crucial portion of the season. Wins against Georgia, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, and Tennessee are nice, but two key matchups await in the week ahead. Tonight, the Gamecocks battle Florida, in a top-25 matchup, at home, before facing the Kentucky Wildcats on Saturday. We go deep into the woods on the big things that led to the wins, as well as what's necessary to keep riding that winning momentum on into the spring. We also discuss what a successful conference campaign would be, and ponder whether this team is finally ready to make the NCAA tournament for the first time in over a decade? You'll find all that and more inside the latest podcast from your favorite Gamecock sports triumvirate. Hope you enjoy!

The GABA Cast, Episode 60: Sindarius Thornwell returns, Eric Wolford rumors, etc
09/01/2017 Duration: 58minThe long-awaited return of Sindarius Thornwell saw the South Carolina Gamecocks men’s basketball team do something it hasn’t done since, like, before Crying Jordan: beat the University of Georgia in a basketball game. The team showcased their powerhouse defense, and held the Bulldogs’ to just 3 baskets from beyond the arc; it was exactly the way a Frank Martin team is designed to play. They followed that up with a come-from-behind victory in College Station against a very solid Texas A&M Aggies side that shot an eye-popping 67 percent from the floor in the first half. It’s safe to say that the Gamecocks are playing much better with the return of their stalwart guard, but just what does Thornwell’s presence mean for the team besides just being arguably the best player on the team? How does his return affect the Gamecocks still-alive NCAA Tournament hopes? What does the team need to do to realize those dreams? Have no fear, your favorite podcast is back to tackle all of the issues with takes just hot enough

The GABA Cast: your one-stop shop for Gamecock sports opinions. Episode 59.
04/01/2017 Duration: 54minThis week, the four-legged base of Gamecock sports opinions (that only happens to have three legs) goes all the way to bring you the best of bowl season, basketball, and at least one more athletic endeavor. We dive into Carolina's almost-but-not-really comeback in the Birmingham Bowl, speculate about the person that shall fill the vacant OL coaching position (WOO DANTE SCARNECCHIA), ruminate on playcalling versus playmakers, discuss the merits of actually playing well during [basketball] conference play, argue about nothing in particular, and basically do what we normally do (which includes Rhonda loving on a former baseball catcher we used to have). We hope you enjoy the show, and we wish you a Happy New Year!

28/11/2016 Duration: 01h09minWell, half of Saturday was fun.In spite of a soul-crushing football loss, the GABA Cast guys are back this week to discuss everything Gamecock sports, and a lot of stuff completely unrelated to the Gamecocks, or sports.Sam and DC3 roll through their winners and losers of the week. They also break down what’s going right with basketball following the men’s recent wins over Michigan and Syracuse (both top-25 opponents), and the women’s crushing defeat of #4 ranked Louisville. It’s episode 52 of the GABA Cast, the only Gamecock podcast with the ability to influence karmic forces and change the outcome of football games! This week, we roll through our winners and losers of the week [spoiler alert: it’s Baylor], get a Flop Forecast from Rhonda, check in on all of Nick Saban’s adult children, and address the real possibility that the Gamecocks could be going bowling this year.As a special treat this week, Rhonda is joined by former standout wide receiver, Moe Brown.
