The long-awaited return of Sindarius Thornwell saw the South Carolina Gamecocks men’s basketball team do something it hasn’t done since, like, before Crying Jordan: beat the University of Georgia in a basketball game. The team showcased their powerhouse defense, and held the Bulldogs’ to just 3 baskets from beyond the arc; it was exactly the way a Frank Martin team is designed to play. They followed that up with a come-from-behind victory in College Station against a very solid Texas A&M Aggies side that shot an eye-popping 67 percent from the floor in the first half.
