Despite getting 9 shots on the man advantage, they could not get anything past Adin Hill on the night on the PP. Early on, it was Vegas' ability to retrieve pucks that led to goals. Hurricanes made a goalie change putting Antti Raanta in the crease while Sergei Bobrovsky went again after playing almost 7 full periods of Hockey. Despite the Carolina Hurricanes getting 20 shots in the first 12 minutes, the Panthers were able to not allow a shot for 15 minutes and scored shortly after killing off a penalty by the Captain Aleksander Barkov.
