The demons were exorcised against the Auburn Tigers to the tune of a 52-21 win this past Saturday. With the regular season over with, Alabama now has a date with the Georgia Bulldogs with a championship on the line. Win and a playoff berth is guaranteed. Should Bama lose...the playoff is still probably guaranteed. This Tide team, though, is playing against all-time greatness, and will need to take apart a solid Georgia bunch to keep driving that storyline forward. That cupcake caused some brief indigestion, particularly in the first half, but the Crimson Tide was able to smash the Citadel in the second half to the tune of 50-17. Another win for Alabama, though this one was not without some drama. The offensive performance left a bit to desired, but even as fans wail and gnash their teeth, Alabama still won by 24 points. The Tide defense is turning into soulcrushing monsters (again) right before our eyes (again). Recruiting is still on fire. Overall, its great to be a Crimson Tide fan. After two weeks of hype, Alabama waltzed into Baton Rouge and flattened the LSU Tigers again. We at BAMSRadio had been shouting nonstop about LSU being a poor matchup, and how Alabama should tear them apart, and we definitely took a victory lap or five on the show tonight. Another week, another "test" for the Crimson Tide. First, it was Ole Miss. A fifty point blowout later, it was Texas A&M. A three touchdown destruction after that, everyone circled the game in Baton Rouge against the LSU Tigers. To the Fightin' Orgeron's credit, they've battled at a high level throughout the year, but they get a buzzsaw in the Alabama Crimson Tide this Saturday. Alabama again tore Neyland Stadium apart with an emphatic destruction of the (strongly) disliked Tennessee Volunteers this past Saturday. Cigars were smoked, some hat tips were given because Jeremy Pruitt does seem to be on the right track with the Vols, and Alabama rolls on into a bye week. A surprise loss by Ohio State has further cemented Tua Tagovailoa as Heisman frontrunner, and some struggles by LSU against Mississippi State provide some insight into the Fightin' Ed Orgerons that Alabama will tangle with in a couple of weeks. The Bama beat keeps on drumming along with a 39-10 win over the Missouri Tigers. Homecoming was a success, and Dixieland Delight was heard echoing in the stadium for the first time in years. It was a glorious weekend for Alabama football. Tua Tagovailoa continues to march toward a Heisman trophy, and Jaylen Waddle is still made of magic. Unfortunate circumstances surrounding VanDarius Cowan and Terrell Lewis has increased Bama nation's collective blood pressure, and William 'Redfish' Barger's comments on how the coaching staff viewed Lewis as the best overall player on the team certainly will not help in that capacity. Luckily, the emergence of Chris Allen will help offset the Lewis situation.
