Episodes

  • Iron Bowl won, and BAMS wants another SEC Championship

    26/11/2018 Duration: 01h08min

The demons were exorcised against the Auburn Tigers to the tune of a 52-21 win this past Saturday. With the regular season over with, Alabama now has a date with the Georgia Bulldogs with a championship on the line. Win and a playoff berth is guaranteed. Should Bama lose...the playoff is still probably guaranteed. This Tide team, though, is playing against all-time greatness, and will need to take apart a solid Georgia bunch to keep driving that storyline forward. We discuss all of this and more on this episode of BAMSRadio so join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts for your weekly hour of Crimson Tide talk.

  • Citadel flavored cupcake consumed, now BAMS looks at the Iron Bowl

    19/11/2018 Duration: 56min

That cupcake caused some brief indigestion, particularly in the first half, but the Crimson Tide was able to smash the Citadel in the second half to the tune of 50-17. There wasn't a lot to pull from this game, so we spent a significant amount of time on the Iron Bowl for this episode. One of us thinks Auburn is walking into a six touchdown destruction. We also update recruiting, and peek ahead to the SEC Championship game. Join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts for your weekly hour of Crimson Tide talk

  • BAMS prepares some extra ganache for Cupcake Saturday

    13/11/2018 Duration: 01h04min

Another win for Alabama, though this one was not without some drama. The offensive performance left a bit to desired, but even as fans wail and gnash their teeth, Alabama still won by 24 points. The Tide defense is turning into soulcrushing monsters (again) right before our eyes (again). Recruiting is still on fire. Overall, its great to be a Crimson Tide fan. Of course, this week the Alabama Crimson Tide get a Citadel flavored cupcake to munch on ahead of the Iron Bowl. We discuss what we saw this past Saturday, and what we are looking forward to next week as the football season keeps chugging along. Join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts for your weekly hour of Crimson Tide talk.

  • BAMS celebrates a Baton Rouge Bludgeoning

    05/11/2018 Duration: 01h06min

After two weeks of hype, Alabama waltzed into Baton Rouge and flattened the LSU Tigers again. We at BAMSRadio had been shouting nonstop about LSU being a poor matchup, and how Alabama should tear them apart, and we definitely took a victory lap or five on the show tonight. We also discussed what we saw from the game from a schematic standpoint which will serve the Crimson Tide well going forward against Mississippi State and others as the season spins forward. We close the show previewing the battle against Bully, as well as a bit of basketball. Join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts for another hour of Crimson Tide talk

  • BAMS prepares for a battle in Baton Rouge

    29/10/2018 Duration: 01h01min

Another week, another "test" for the Crimson Tide. First, it was Ole Miss. A fifty point blowout later, it was Texas A&M. A three touchdown destruction after that, everyone circled the game in Baton Rouge against the LSU Tigers. To the Fightin' Orgeron's credit, they've battled at a high level throughout the year, but they get a buzzsaw in the Alabama Crimson Tide this Saturday. We all give our thoughts about the game, and set expectations for another big Bama triumph. Since it was the bye week, Drew and William break down how the Alabama recruiting machine is cruising along in both the 2019 and 2020 cycle. Join the fun with Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts as they talk everything Tide!

  • BAMS celebrates Twelve over UT

    22/10/2018 Duration: 01h00s

Alabama again tore Neyland Stadium apart with an emphatic destruction of the (strongly) disliked Tennessee Volunteers this past Saturday. Cigars were smoked, some hat tips were given because Jeremy Pruitt does seem to be on the right track with the Vols, and Alabama rolls on into a bye week. A surprise loss by Ohio State has further cemented Tua Tagovailoa as Heisman frontrunner, and some struggles by LSU against Mississippi State provide some insight into the Fightin' Ed Orgerons that Alabama will tangle with in a couple of weeks. For now, the Tide is undefeated, and barely challenged, so we discuss everything we saw this past weekend throughout this episode. Join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts for your weekly dose of Crimson Tide Talk.

  • BAMS discusses Homecoming win, and talks Tua's knee

    15/10/2018 Duration: 53min

The Bama beat keeps on drumming along with a 39-10 win over the Missouri Tigers. Homecoming was a success, and Dixieland Delight was heard echoing in the stadium for the first time in years. While Alabama's defense had a fantastic game, the Tide offense suffered some injuries including to star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. There has been some scuttlebutt regarding how serious the knee injury is for the quarterback, and we attempt to separate fact from fiction on this episode of BAMS. Regardless of what the actual problem is, we also contextualize how the injury will affect Bama moving forward, if at all. Join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts for another dose of Crimson Tide talk.

  • Defensive problems at Bama? BAMS discusses

    08/10/2018 Duration: 01h01min

The Crimson Tide train kept rolling against the Arkansas Razorbacks this past Saturday. The 65-31 win featured more offensive explosion, but a sleepy performance from the Crimson Tide defense has set a few teeth on edge as the season progresses. With the Missouri Tigers on deck for Homecoming, the Tide have a few things to clean up on defense, but this team is still excellent. We react to all of that and more on this episode of BAMSRadio, so be sure to join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts for your weekly shot of Crimson Tide talk.

  • BAMS whips around the country and grades first month of Crimson Tide action

    01/10/2018 Duration: 57min

It was a glorious weekend for Alabama football. Tua Tagovailoa continues to march toward a Heisman trophy, and Jaylen Waddle is still made of magic. The second and third team defense continues to grow, but it can be painful at times. Jalen Hurts deserves a tremendous amount of credit for burning his red shirt for a team, and the fans gave him an ovation during the game to show their appreciation. Around the country, teams got tested, and we learned more about potential Tide opponents. We discuss that and more on this episode of BAMSRadio with Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger & Thomas Watts

  • BAMS discusses whether Bama demolished the second best team in the SEC West, A&M

    24/09/2018 Duration: 56min

Ah, another week, another big Bama win. The Crimson Tide blasted Texas A&M 45-23 this past Saturday, and we discuss every angle from that game. One specific point everyone on the show agrees on is that the Aggies are the second best team in the SEC West due to what we've seen from Auburn and LSU through the first month of the season. We also explain why Tide fans need not worry about a perceived lack of running game this past Saturday, and update recruiting after a huge number of blue chip prospects were in town to take in the Bama/Aggies contest. Join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger & Thomas Watts for your weekly discussion of the Crimson Tide.

  • BAMS reviews Rebel rout, and looks ahead to Fightin' Fishers visit to Tuscaloosa

    17/09/2018 Duration: 01h04min

That test was passed with flying colors, wasn't it? The Alabama Crimson Tide dismantled the Ole Miss Rebels to open SEC play, and now get to preparing for a visit from the now ranked Texas A&M Aggies this upcoming Saturday. We saw an excellent defensive effort, and discussed how A&M has to establish the ground game to avoid another Rebels-esque whalloping at the hands of the Crimson Tide. Join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger & Thomas Watts for your weekly dose of Alabama Crimson Tide conversation.

  • BAMS gears up for a trip to the Grove to play Ole Miss

    10/09/2018 Duration: 01h00s

The Alabama Crimson Tide cruised through their home opener against Arkansas St, and now moves on to a road trip against the Ole Miss Rebels. The Rebs have a great group of receivers, and little else, but an SEC road game is an SEC road game. We react to Bama's big win this past Saturday, and sit down to discuss what we expect when the Tide travels to Oxford to take on the Rebels. Join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts for all things Alabama football.

  • BAMS enjoys big Bama win over Louisville to kick off 2018 season

    02/09/2018 Duration: 46min

The long wait is over, and college football is back. Alabama launched their title defense with a game against the Louisville Cardinals, and destroyed the Fightin' Bobby Petrinos 51-14. It was a tour de force for the Bama offense behind starter Tua Tagovailoa, and they showed a scary level of potential for the 2018 season. The defense had a few mental errors, but looks to pick up where recent elite units left off. Also, BAMS does debate whether freshman WR Jaylen Waddle is made of magic or not. Join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts for their thoughts after a dominating win down in Orlando.

  • BAMS wraps fall camp, and talks depth chart

    28/08/2018 Duration: 01h03min

Fall camp is complete, and a depth chart has been released from the friendly confines of the Mal Moore Athletic Facility. It is officially game week for Alabama as they prepare for a contest against the Louisville Cardinals. Who landed where on the depth chart, and does it really matter against a team that Alabama is so much more talented than? Of course it does! Alabama looks to start the season strong, and maybe there is a settled quarterback competition? Maybe. Listen in to Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts to get your weekly dose of Crimson Tide news!

  • BAMS reviews second scrimmage of 2018...and talks KICKERS?!

    20/08/2018 Duration: 01h00s

With all respect to Jim Mora and the playoffs, BAMSRadio is talking about kickers?! Yes, we are. Kickers, QBs, and everything inbetween coming out of the second scrimmage of 2018. What have we heard about Jalen, Tua, and the offense? How will the defense adapt to losing a couple of stud pass rushers? Is Jaylen Waddle human, or a cyborg from the future sent to terminate the opponents of the Alabama Crimson Tide? Your crew of Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts have everything covered for you on this episode of BAMSRadio.

  • BAMS peers into the black box to discuss fall scrimmage #1

    12/08/2018 Duration: 54min

The Alabama Crimson Tide football team has been through one week of camp, and scrimmaged for the first time this past Saturday. No positions were won or lost during this first iteration, but several players took steps forward to see the field for the 2018 season. The quarterback competition continues to spin, but from everything Drew DeArmond heard from people who viewed the scrimmage, Tua Tagovailoa is the leader by a decisive amount after the first week of practice. We also get into how the secondary has evolved, and throw a bucket of cold water on the idea that last year's recruiting class was anything but stellar. Join Drew DeArmond & William "Redfish" Barger for another dose of Crimson Tide talk!

  • BAMS looks at fall camp, and discusses Urban Meyer

    03/08/2018 Duration: 01h06min

The doldrums of the offseason are done! Alabama's fall camp starts, and position battles aplenty are on deck ahead of the Crimson Tide's battle with Louisville in a few week's time. Join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger & Thomas Watts for your Bama fix ahead of fall camp!

  • BAMS talks SEC Media Days & recent Tide rumblings

    15/07/2018 Duration: 58min

BAMS is back after another small hiatus to talk about SEC Media Days this upcoming week, as well as what has been going on around the Capstone. Unfortunate circumstances surrounding VanDarius Cowan and Terrell Lewis has increased Bama nation's collective blood pressure, and William 'Redfish' Barger's comments on how the coaching staff viewed Lewis as the best overall player on the team certainly will not help in that capacity. Luckily, the emergence of Chris Allen will help offset the Lewis situation. Also, Drew DeArmond and Fish provide an update on recruiting, and where Alabama looks to be gaining more key commitments to keep the Tide train rolling down the tracks.

  • BAMS is back talking summer camps, and recruiting

    06/06/2018 Duration: 01h02min

BAMS is back after a small break since there is real, actual news worth discussing. Players got stuck due to lack of gas, or a bad fuel pump. In fan parlance, the pump has been Process'd. Joking aside, the Crimson Tide summer camp circuit got rolling, and many players showed up looking for that elusive Alabama offer. We have insight there, and more on this episode of BAMSRadio. Join Drew DeArmond & William 'Redfish' Barger for another dose of Crimson Tide talk

  • BAMS updates coaching, and talks offseason expectation

    11/05/2018 Duration: 01h01min

After a week off, BAMS is back talking a bit of suspension, and some coaching. It is admittedly a bit of slow news period after A-Day, so BAMS may not be around as much over the next couple of weeks. We're still here discussing what we've heard from Tuscaloosa over the past couple of days including Mark Ingram's recent suspension.
