Third Saturday in October under the lights for Alabama!
16/10/2019 Duration: 01h13minIt's that time of year. That inside-of-a-pumpkin orange group of people are coming to visit Tuscaloosa. While the BAMS crew may be dog people, that particular dog doesn't butter either side of our bread. With the Crimson Tide slated as a FIVE touchdown favorite against the hapless hill people, expect another measure of revenge from the Albert Means Situation that Phillip Fulmer, the Doughnut Duchess his own self, unleashed by his back alley skullduggery. Alabama will win. Alabama can name their score. The main question is...are the new LED lights powerful enough to cut through the opacity of an entire stadium suffused in cigar smoke? We discuss such BamaFanProblems, as well as what we all saw against the Texas A&M Aggies this past weekend on this episode of BAMSRadio. Join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts for another hour of Crimson Tide conversation

Bama to College Station for another SEC road test
10/10/2019 Duration: 01h15minTwo bye weeks in a year is excellent. Everyone involved in football gets to take a deep breath and fix the little issues that are causing heartache TWICE. Also, did you see how badly Florida beat up on Auburn? We did. It was amusing. The BAMS trio talk a little bit about that, grumble about the Crimson Tide defense while trying to explain WHY some of the issues are happening from an X's and O's standpoint, and talk about A&M. We universally expect another big win because the Aggies have been one of the larger disappointments thus far in 2019 so join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger & Thomas Watts for another hour of Crimson Tide conversation

Golden Eagle Frosted Cupcake Just What Tide Ordered
26/09/2019 Duration: 01h11minA fine week it was for the Crimson Tide. The 49-7 win over the USM Golden Eagles was the best game the team has played thus far, even if it was little more than a cupcake. The offense did what it does, and the defense put the brakes on a solid offensive football team. WIth the Ole Miss RebelManSharkBearPICKAMASCOTS coming to town following a tough loss at home to Cal, Alabama will look to build on the momentum that started with solid cupcake play. Expect another big win, but before that, your crew of Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts talk a little bit of 'cruitin', and whether new all-everything Bryce Young will continue doing Tua things once Tua moves on to the NFL.

South Carolina sky...falling? Let's renew Golden Eagle game
18/09/2019 Duration: 01h12minOne of the more interesting twenty-four point wins that Nick Saban has ever recorded. That's one way to describe the Crimson Tide's game against the South Carolina Gamecocks. The defense wasn't great, but it wasn't "burn it all down" bad. The offense needed to run more, except the nature of Run-pass-option plays mean that it was actually correct to throw it more. Overall, it was business as usual, and much ado about nothing in the annals of Crimson Tide lore. We react to the game, talk a bit about Southern Mississippi, and peek into a window of the always-churning recruiting battle. Join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts for your weekly hour of Crimson Tide conversation.

BAMS rehydrates after a warm Saturday home opener
12/09/2019 Duration: 01h12minThe first team did what the first team does for the Alabama Crimson Tide. They took care of business in 2 quarters and change, and then the second team had a rough performance against an overmatched New Mexico St. team. Now, it is on to a road trip to play the South Carolina Gamecocks. They lost a gnarly game to the Fightin' Mack Browns to open the season and chomped on a cupcake last weekend. If Only Colt McCoy Hadn't Gotten Hurt (tm). The game promises another chance for the Alabama OL to develop, and see how a bunch of young pieces on the Crimson Tide team play in their first true road environment in college. Redfish is off this week, so join Drew DeArmond and Thomas Watts for an hour of Crimson Tide conversation.

BAMS reviews Blue Devil dunking in ATL
03/09/2019 Duration: 01h04minFootball is back! Alabama did Alabama things to an opening week opponent in their 42-3 win over the Duke Blue Devils. True freshman were all over the field making plays, particularly Shane Lee and Christian Harris. The offense did start a little bit slow, but once it got on-track, Tua did Tua things and the group put in a solid performance. We also talk recruiting, particularly how the pair of TE TDs impressed five star Arik Gilbert and peek ahead to what looks like a complete demolition this upcoming weekend against New Mexico State. Join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts for another hour of Crimson Tide conversation.

BAMS battles Crimson Tide injury bug
29/08/2019 Duration: 59minFootball is upon us! Florida and Miami played a 3.5 hour slapfest highlighted by a 4 year old trapped in a UF QB's body to start the season, but now its time for the teams with an actual chance to win anything of note to take the field. Unfortunately, Alabama will battle Duke down one of its best players due to a knee injury to Dylan Moses. There are potential replacements, but there is definitely some trepidation going through Bama nation as the Crimson Tide prepares for Duke. Drew DeArmond, William 'Redfish' Barger and Thomas Watts are here to talk some fans off the ledge, so join us for another hour of Crimson Tide conversation

BAMS whispers about "closed" fall scrimmage #2
20/08/2019 Duration: 01h05minFootball is (almost) back! While teams full of lesser mortals will play this weekend ahead of week 1 of the college football season, Alabama just finished up its second scrimmage. Thankfully, it is the Red Elephant Club scrimmage which means what happened is roundly leaked...erm....discussed around the water cooler shortly after the event takes place. We talk about what we've heard from our various folks regarding who stood out, and who struggled in this critical second scrimmage, as well as peek ahead to what your three hosts are looking forward to as Alabama begins preparation for Duke. Join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger & Thomas Watts for your weekly dose of Crimson Tide conversation

BAMS ruminates about the first closed scrimmage
11/08/2019 Duration: 54minIt wouldn't be a football season at Alabama without some injuries for fans to slam their desks about. Trey Sanders is not expected back, and there were some dings during this past weekend's scrimmage that we talk about as well. It wasn't all bad news, though, as several Tide players look to be playing winning football for the team. Markhail Benton played a solid scrimmage, and there was a Ben Davis sighting. Overall, it was another step on the path to Duke in a couple of weeks, and there are still plenty of reasons for Alabama fans to be excited for the 2019 football season. So join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts for another hour of Crimson Tide conversation!

05/08/2019 Duration: 01h06minTalking season is over. SEC Media Days was as goofy as always, and now the fun begins. The Alabama Crimson Tide football team started football camp ahead of the 2019 football season this past Friday, and Fan Day festivities were this past weekend. We catch up on all the news, including The Anoma Situation, and what we expect from this team based on what your colorful trio has seen and heard from the hallowed halls of the Mal Moore Athletic Facility. Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts are back to our regularly scheduled weekly hour of Tide talk, so come aboard, make your Monday just a bit fast, and get as excited as we are about this Crimson Tide football team

BAMS talks A-Day, summer, and rants about expectations
15/04/2019 Duration: 01h08minAnother A-Day in the books, and the hot takes are as aflame as ever. It's the nature of the beast, but sometimes it can grate a bit. Drew gets going on a pretty epic rant regarding said hot takes, but all of us are pretty happy with how A-Day and the rest of spring went. We discuss everything we saw this past Saturday...and even mention a little bit of golf because of the Masters. Join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts for another hour of Crimson Tide talk.

BAMS peeks behind the scrimmage curtain and previews A-Day
08/04/2019 Duration: 01h18minBAMS is back and we have football to discuss! Fans asked, and we are here to deliver everything we've heard about the current iteration of the Alabama Crimson Tide. Who is making moves? How good is DJ Dale? Is Tualia Tagovailoa going to be the second team QB? We dive into all of that and more after a pair of scrimmages, and even try to guess the A-Day MVP. Join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts for another hour of Crimson Tide talk!

BAMS talks spring ball, and the unfortunate reality of Bama basketball
12/03/2019 Duration: 57minNumber 1 class secured. Next item on the agenda: get the terrible taste out of the collective Crimson Tide mouth from the stomping in Levi Stadium. Alabama took to the spring practice fields late last week, and will be building up for the annual A-Day game. We talk about that and more on this episode of BAMSRadio. We've got who to look for, and storylines to keep an eye on throughout the spring. On the more unfortunate side of things, Drew has a hot take on Avery Johnson that we get into a bit as well. BAMS is back from our little hiatus, and ready to talk ball, so join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts for another hour of Crimson Tide conversation.

BAMS talks staff, and another #1 recruiting class
11/02/2019 Duration: 01h03minIt was business as usual for the ALabama Crimson Tide on the recruiting front as they closed with another number 1 recruiting class for the 2019 cycle. The next big thing will be the spring, and how this new staff group comes together ahead of the season. Until then, we discuss who the new faces are on the recruiting and the staff front, and there is plenty to be excited about. The team will be good, but how good remains an open question. Join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts for another hour of Crimson Tide talk

BAMS is back for offseason discussion and 2018 postmortem
25/01/2019 Duration: 01h06minAlabama took one on the chin a few weeks ago down in Santa Clara, and since we have been absent, we react to that. For the stats nerd, it wasn't as bad as it seemed. There were masked problems, though, throughout the season and Nick Saban is now moving to address those with his staff changeover. We give our take on where we see the last few hires slotting in, and try to explain why some of the new pieces failed to connect to Nick and the Process. After all of the heavy lifting, we talk recruiting, and get excited for the next great group of Crimson Tide players with National Signing Day looming on the horizon.

Happy New Year from BAMS!
31/12/2018 Duration: 01h07minAnother year, another semifinal destruction for Alabama. This time, it was the Oklahoma Sooners getting both barrels from the Alabama Crimson Tide. That sets up another match with the Clemson Tigers. Each time is distinctly different from last year's slugfest in New Orleans, and there's another classic in the offing down in Santa Clara when these two teams match up. We put a bow on the Oklahoma win, and spend a significant amount of time on Clemson. There's even a rant from Drew on what sort of history that Alabama can make against Clemson. Be sure to join the usual suspects for your weekly hour of Crimson Tide talk!

Merry Christmas from BAMSRadio!
24/12/2018 Duration: 01h07minIt has been a great week for the Alabama Crimson Tide. The #1 recruiting class is all but locked up, but there are still more to come with a handful of great players still on the Alabama recruiting board. Sadly, Kirby Freeze cannot take a picture of this one to assist in his negative recruiting. With recruiting spun down for awhile, it is family time on BAMSRadio. We enjoy each other's company with a bit of egg nog on this episode, as well as discuss what we see from the Oklahoma Sooners. Your trio of Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts all think there is a big Bama win on the horizon, and then a fascinating battle against (probably) the Clemson Tigers. Join us for another hour of Crimson Tide talk during this Christmas season!

BAMS previews Early Signing Day 2018
17/12/2018 Duration: 01h02minThe holidays are coming, and Alabama fans have a whole pack of 5 star presents under the tree. The Crimson Tide has the number 1 recruiting class, and looks to continue that trend with several highly rated recruits expected to sign during the Early Signing Period. Yes, Alabama has missed on a couple of recruits, but it is tough to complain with what is coming to the Capstone. We preview Early Signing Day and break down why Georgia Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart is not the actual boogeyman, and instead just a competent head coach staring down the barrel of a strengthening division. Join Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts for your weekly shot of Crimson Tide talk.

BAMS talks Heisman, and 'crootin'
10/12/2018 Duration: 54minAfter a bit of recency bias on the part of Heisman voters, Tua Tagovailoa finished second for that award. Luckily, the entire Crimson Tide team has a chance to put that narrative to the torch on December 29th, but there is other business to attend to before that. The early signing period is quickly approaching, and even before that the Tide will hear from several of the blue chips that they have been working towards over the past eighteen months. It isn't mathematically impossible for Alabama to finish with the best class that the world has ever seen this cycle, but everything needs to break just right. We discuss all that and more so join your trio of Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger and Thomas Watts for more Crimson Tide talk!

BAMS relives a wild SEC Championship Game victory
03/12/2018 Duration: 53minSame stadium, same teams, similar results. The Georgia Bulldogs pushed the Alabama Crimson Tide to the brink in the SEC Championship, but the back up quarterback again emerged to lead the Tide to a win. Last time, it was Second-And-Twenty-Six. This time, it was Jalen stepping in during a wild 4th quarter to win the game for Alabama. In made-for-Hollywood drama, the Tide again beat the Bulldogs. Head coach Kirby Smart called a ridiculous fake punt and we excoriate him about it, but we mostly revel in the most recent Crimson Tide triumph. With Alabama set to square off against Oklahoma in a few weeks, we do take a brief look at that match up as well, so be sure to tune in to Drew DeArmond, William "Redfish" Barger & Thomas Watts for your normal hour of Sunday Night Crimson Tide Talk
