ESPN’s Bill Connelly points out a few things that need to happen for Nebraska to make a leap this year and going forward…how likely is that to happen?
17/04/2020-Connelly wrote that Nebraska needs to have redshirt years pay off for talent freshmen; the defense needs to defend the run better; and Nebraska needs to rediscover offensive efficiency (fell from 42nd to 86th last year in rushing marginal efficiency) -Nebraska has yet to really become good in stopping the run in the Big Ten, and they’ve almost been in the league for 10 years. How has it taken so long for Nebraska to become even respectable in that unit consistently? And also, interesting numbers on Adrian Martinez and his struggles with passes to the sidelines…yikes Show sponsored by CARTRIDGE WORLD

More discussion from texters on first segment about if arm strength is overrated or not
16/04/2020-Jake and Sip continue the conversation from the opening segment about what are the most important things to evaluate when looking at QBs for the draft Show sponsored by CARTRIDGE WORLD
-
We need to talk about something that Jake thinks is overblown in evaluations of QBs for the NFL Draft
16/04/2020-What could that possibly be? ARM STRENGTH. Everyone always talks about how important arm strength is when evaluating a QB. Look at past drafts. Everyone loved Josh Allen’s arm strength at Wyoming. But he had so much more to prove. And he hasn’t been very accurate as a pro. He’ll always have ‘a high ceiling’ because he has great arm strength. But you don’t just become accurate all of a sudden -This brings us to Justin Herbert, who people rave about because of ARM STRENGTH. He wasn’t the most accurate player in college, but people love how far he can throw it. How often do you throw the ball 60 yards downfield? And what does it matter if you aren’t accurate? It’s all about the 10-20 yard throws. Show sponsored by CARTRIDGE WORLD

Sip and Jake are committed to golfing at Jim Ager—could Jake beat Sip with just one club?
15/04/2020-Jake and Sip were discussing yesterday how this competition must go. Jake said he should use one club to be fair, and Sip can use the whole bag. However, using a wedge as the only club would still be too helpful to Jake…so what if he had to use a 2-iron for the full round for every shot (yes, putting too)? -Can Sip break 45 at Jim Ager having not played in 10+ years? That’s double-bogey golf… Show sponsored by CARTRIDGE WORLD
-

What If Wednesday: What if Nebrasketball’s revamped roster found its way to the NCAA Tournament next year?
15/04/2020-Don’t laugh too much---here’s an example of a Big Ten team that’s done it before: The 1997-98 Ohio State men’s basketball team went 8-22 under first year head coach Jim O’Brien before winning 27-9 the following year and making the NCAA Tournament (helped by Michael Redd and Scoonie Penn) -Is it crazy to think that it’s possible for this team to sneak into the Dance? Or are we expecting more pain like last year? What’s the lowest amount of wins you’d accept before you are concerned? Show sponsored by CARTRIDGE WORLD

The University of Cincinnati has already cut men’s soccer due to budgetary issues stemming from COVID-19…how affected will Nebraska be when all is said and done?
15/04/2020-Cincinnati AD John Cunningham said in a statement that long-term budget implications are coming from the loss of the spring sports season and possibly beyond, and that they are cutting men’s soccer. No other announcements on programs have been announced yet there, but this could be the start -Is there any chance that any sports are cut collectively by the NCAA because of COVID-19? Obviously many schools will cut different sports for budgetary reasons…what will Nebraska get affected by if anything? Show sponsored by CARTRIDGE WORLD
