Conversation Oblique returns for another Mundane Monday as we find the two amicably befuddled hosts Sky and Estevan tackling the question on if there is a biological impulse for humanity to seek a Messiah, and what function does that impulse serve society. From Charles Manson to Michael Jackson, it seems as if humans need a higher ideal or symbol to project their aspirations and fantasies on to help navigate their lives, but is this a necessary way to live? As always, the answers are as a thick as the fog that permanently stains Estevan’s brain, and Sky’s inherently skeptical nature never lets one answer be “the One.” Join us this Monday as we ponder subjects way beyond our formal education but well within what keeps these two gentlemen up at night.

Welcome to a deep cut in Season 3 of Conversation Oblique, the relatively arbitrary outlet for the charmingly strange friendship of Sky Cooper & Estevan Munoz. This week the boys discuss pet owners projecting their psyches onto their pets, the under appreciated intimacy of apps like FaceTime, the emotional perversion of call centers, the living organism of the Corporation, the Unseen World that humanity self-perpetuates because we need something to surrender to, the fact that God is more than likely an alcoholic, and the possibility of Estevan being addicted to despair.
