Episodes

  • A Brunch of Puns

    14/01/2015 Duration: 01h11min

This week we actually cover a lot of sports! Lots of college playoff talk, and a bit of NFL talk. We're joined by the always wonderful Bob Murrell. He's an actor, a stand-up comic, a sports fan and blogger, and all-around good dude.Check out Bob's website to see when he's performing near you, and follow him on Twitter at @bobmurrell. And, read his musings on basketball at the Basketbawl Blog. This was a really fun episode and Geoff actually edited it the same night which is amazingly insane. And be sure to listen after the outro music for some pre-show banter that we put at the end of the show because we really like that movie Momento.

  • New Year's Day Family Dinner

    06/01/2015 Duration: 01h04min

Happy New Year, ya pricks! We kicked off the new year by finishing off the keg and ham and fireworks from our NYE party the night before and sat down in Geoff's living room instead of #StudioOfGeoff and had a loosey-goosey discussion about a bunch of garbage. We had some guests this week. Friend of the show Jon Frosch returns, along with his wife Jenn, and Ian Guevara also joins us for the first time. We tried to focus on sports, but we're all dumb as hell, so you get this instead.

  • Freddy Krueger is Not the Boogie Man

    17/12/2014 Duration: 52min

The gang talks about beer again, and have a philosophical discussion over whether robots are considered beings.  We also of course cover the terribleness of the Saints-Carolina game, and Matt and Geoff solve the higher education crisis in Louisiana.

  • Pisshead

    04/12/2014 Duration: 01h01min

We took a week off for Thanksgiving and to get our lives in order, but all four of us are back this week! We discuss how journalism -- specifically sports journalism -- is bad and not at all good, discuss the Saints game against the Steelers and address the rumors of the Saints looking into Ray Rice, the Payton/Ryan "rift", and the Brees replacement. We talk a little about LSU and their possible bowl games. We also talk about relationships, Charles Manson, and a bunch of other crap you may actually care about!

  • Windmills Do Not Work That Way

    11/11/2014 Duration: 49min

After a not-great weekend of Louisiana football, the guys do their best to objectively cover the Saints and LSU games. Friend of the show Jon Frosch appears as our first guest and offers some insight into ASU and the PAC12. Matt almost got knocked out by some drunk guy a friendly festival, we talk about Halloween candy for a bit, CNBC calls millennials some mean words and we flip out. We also give a little talk about Hell Yes Fest, starting this Wednesday, and Fringe Fest, starting later this month. Intro/outro music is "Airuma" by Sul Rebel.

  • How Much Meth Can You Make From That?

    05/11/2014 Duration: 54min

The Saints won a road game and Geoff makes a pun. LSU did a thing. Will did a Saints trivia thing at The New Movement and @skooks won. Jacob asks the question of how much meth you can make with Sudafed. We talk about NASCAR and hockey for a good while, which is super fucking weird. Geoff's ego gets inflated even more than normal. We make fun of the Chevy president, and bring up baseball. We may have also insulted most of the South even though we're from there. Horse teams and Mannings get confused.Matt offers to live nude in a cage, btw.

  • No One Throws Milk Sober

    30/10/2014 Duration: 01h01min

This week, we're sans-Jacob. We cover a ton of college football, celebrate the Saints win, make fun of Metairie's own Big Lee, stemcells, Matt supposes Drew Brees is on his way out and wants to fuck Mark Ingram. Or he said "fuck Mark Ingram". I wasn't listening. And we talk about Hell Yes Fest and Voodoo Fest and Geoff plugs Massive Fraud's KARATEFIGHT stand-up/sketch video thing because he's a huge nude trill coward. We also drank a lot of beer and had to edit out most of the things we actually talked about, as usual.Intro/outro music is "Airuma" by Sul Rebel.

  • Mayonnaise Sandwich

    22/10/2014 Duration: 50min

This might be our most sports-packed episode yet! If you hate sports, then you're probably going to hate this. If you love sports, you're also probably going to hate this. We're not good at this. This week we cover the Saints shitty loss to the Lions, some crazy college football stuff, Quarterbacks' jeans, Jimmy Graham being overrated, EBOLA, and we even rock the vote a little. If you've got anything fun to add to the show or any questions or comments, obviously you can comment below, or, drop us a line at podcast @ delayofgame.net. Intro/outro music is "Airuma" by Sul Rebel.

  • Miller Trill

    14/10/2014 Duration: 01h10min

This week, Matt joins us and we barely talk about sports! Geoff tells a story about Taco Bell, we ruin chances of being allowed to visit a bunch of cities, and we talk about Oktoberfest again. Matt drops some whiskey knowledge.Sports-wise, we discuss the state of college and professional football, Jacob explains how NFL ties work, and we apparently forgot to talk about the LSU/Gators game that we all watched together the day before. Here's the video of Jay Cutler we talk about.Intro/outro music is "Airuma" by Sul Rebel.

  • Episode I: The Phantom Sponsors, or, This is Going to be Garbage

    10/10/2014 Duration: 01h03min

Our inaugural podcast. We drink a bunch of beers and talk about the Saints barely edging out Tampa Bay last Sunday, Jacob cries about LSU for a while, we discuss upcoming local festivals, and I wax poetic about Aubrey Plaza and Netflix. We also plug a bunch of companies that aren't sponsors. We're working out the kinks on recording like reducing echo, and our phones caused some static about halfway through, so we'll fix that.Intro/outro music is "Airuma" by Sul Rebel.
