Welcome back Loyal Listeners for another great episode of #dcsdtransforms: the best 10-minute edtech conversation you'll hear all week!  This week we are highlighting a couple of similar tools that are a bit older, but we see them used so frequently, we thought it would be good to discuss some best practices and why you would use one or the other depending on your teaching style.  Those tools are Kahoot and Quizizz.  Our shoutout this week goes to Mrs. Toney and Mrs. Marino of Southside Early Childhood Center - wait until you hear about what they will be doing with their littles!  And when we say "littles," we mean 5K!  Wow!  

Hey Everyone!  Thanks for joining us!  We have a special episode to bring you this week as we tell about our experiences at ISTE 2019.  We had a BLAST!  I tell you, this is a conference worth going to at least one time in your teaching career, but do it sooner rather than later so you can bring back lots of great ideas to share with your students.  DCSD was well represented as we had several people who presented!  Please take some time to check out the cool happenings from Philly this past summer.  Next week we'll be back to our regularly scheduled programming!

LOYAL LISTENERS!!!  GUESS WHAT?  We just started season FIVE of the #dcsdtransforms podcast!  Say what?!  Can't believe we've been doing this for 5 years, but we are thrilled to have had this opportunity and we hope you will stay with us for another great season of edtech fun!  Our first episode is our back to school special.  It's a longer than normal, but we wanted to be sure we started the year off with all the info you will need to be successful this school year.  Our next two episodes will also be out of the ordinary as we will be bringing you info from ISTE 2019 and from the 2019 DCSD Digital Transformation Conference.  After that we will be back to our regular programming - a tool of the week and spotlighting a teacher in DCSD who is doing some really neat stuff in the classroom.  Cheers!

Hey Loyal Listeners!  Welcome to the FINAL episode of the 2018-2019 school year.  For this last episode, we wanted to make you aware of some professional development opportunities this spring / summer that have a technology basis to them.  There's some great stuff, so check it out!  And if you listen very carefully, you might find a sound byte from Dr. Newman, DCSD's amazing superintendent!  With that said, we will miss bringing you the latest cool tech ideas and tools over the next couple months, and we will ESPECIALLY miss bragging about all the great things you are doing in the classroom.  If you were not spotlighted this year and would like to be, then PLEASE let us know by email.  We'd love to be able to give you a shout out for the great things you are doing in the classroom!  Have a wonderful summer, and talk to ya next year!  

Hey Loyal Listeners!  We only have 2 episodes left for this school year, so we are going to dedicate these episodes to winding down for summer and technology focused workshop opportunities over the summer. In this episode, we will talk about some of the big things we need to think about (particularly geared towards DCSD teachers) as we finish up the school year.  We'll look at grades, taking care of equipment, what to do if you are not returning to DCSD, and how to get your files from Google Drive in the most efficient way (this is also good for teachers who have seniors in case they want to get stuff before they graduate as they will lose access to their DCSD google accounts.  Thanks for listening!
