  • Episode #072: Glaciers' Big DAM Problems - Meltwater Conduits

    02/09/2021 Duration: 01h46min

https://RandallCarlson.com     https://youtube.com/TheRandallCarlson     https://youtube.com/geocosmicrex    Randall gets going by referring back to recent climatic fluctuations including the Medieval Warm Period, noting the connection to the Grail Mythos of recovering from the Wasteland, and the Little Ice Age that generated considerable European glaciers’ advancement – to their largest extent since the sudden end of the Great Ice Age. Then turning to the big problems that hinder ice from retaining water to any substantial depth – interstitial cavities, moulins, tunnels, and various conduits that form within and beneath the glaciers, quickly routing meltwater to the base and out from its margin. Occasionally the releasing flow creates an outburst flood in the path where it escapes and typically these are annual events during the melt season, thus building up a large reservoir in a temperate glacier for a half-century is basically impossible, thoroughly negating the Ice Dam model of a repeatedly impounded “La

https://RandallCarlson.com     https://youtube.com/TheRandallCarlson     https://youtube.com/geocosmicrex    Randall continues poking holes in the too easily accepted, dated “Ice Dam” model that credits “Lake Missoula” as the primary water source that carved the Channeled Scablands of Washington State. Studies of the phenomenon of glacial outburst floods over the past century reveal nothing that would support the notion that a 600cubic-mile, 2100 feet-deep lake could be retained by a temperate glacier. RC reads directly from the published science and suggests, as do the other quoted scientists, that there were supplemental meltwater sources coming from the north. He shares a sequence of images that show the breaching of the Hubbard Glacier in Alaska, illustrating some of the same processes that may have occurred in the Ice Age Megafloods, and looks ahead to breaking down the ice dam model even more thoroughly in the episodes to come…  Kosmographia Ep071 The Randall Carlson Podcast with Brothers of the Serpent

  • Episode #070: Immense Ice Dam Extrapolation / Floods Controversies

    16/08/2021 Duration: 01h49min

https://RandallCarlson.com     https://youtube.com/TheRandallCarlson     https://youtube.com/geocosmicrex    Questions continue to be raised about the “Ice Dam” that withheld “Lake Missoula” and their role in the catastrophic Ice Age Megafloods that ravaged the Pacific Northwest around 13,000 years ago. Going “Back to Bretz” to consider again the likelihood that the floods were augmented greatly by sudden rushes of meltwater from the Cordilleran Ice Sheet that loomed directly to the north of the entire suite of megaflood features, Randall shows again and again how this makes perfect and obvious sense, although it is totally ignored by the standard model that describes the flood scenario. With his diagrams and multiple quotes from published geologists, RC stresses the impossibility of ice withholding a lake over 2000 feet deep. Kosmographia Ep070 The Randall Carlson Podcast with Brothers of the Serpent – Kyle and Russ, Creative Director Llauraa, producer and GeocosmicREX admin Bradley, from 6/12/21. • Episode #069: Mega-scale Incomprehensible Floods

    09/08/2021 Duration: 02h05min

https://RandallCarlson.com     https://youtube.com/TheRandallCarlson     https://youtube.com/geocosmicrex    With funny stories and banter throughout, Randall and the K-crew are invigorated after their spring-time travels! We look back at the awesome landscapes of the two tours and agree that the sheer immensity of the flooding events is beyond our abilities to comprehend. Revisiting impressive sites like Steptoe Butte that overlooks the rolling Palouse Hills, Potholes Coulee Cataracts, and Devil’s Canyon, we all are ready to return and share with a new group of geo-adventurers! Ongoing questions about the formation of Moses Coulee and the standard “Ice Dam” model of repeated releases of Lake Missoula are just not adding up for us, so RC explains the difficulties and clarifies the problems as he shifts around the region using Goobles terrain and satellite maps.  Kosmographia Ep069: The Randall Carlson Podcast includes Brothers of the Serpent – Kyle and Russ, our Creative Director Llauraa, Normal Guy Mike, wit

  • Episode #068: Problematic Lake Missoula - Ice Dam, Mega-ripples, Strandlines

    21/07/2021 Duration: 01h58min

https://RandallCarlson.com     https://youtube.com/TheRandallCarlson     https://youtube.com/geocosmicrex    Randall continues to poke holes in the conventional view of the Clark Fork Valley Ice Dam and its impounded “Lake Missoula,” exposing evidence throughout the basins that indicate they were filled suddenly by flows incoming from the north – and NOT by a century of enhanced rainfall. The tell-tale signatures of a static lake that drained and refilled over forty times are just not there! Evenly-spaced remnant shorelines around all the basins, mega-scale current ripples that reduce in size instead of increasing, and a broad valley that would have to be perfectly sealed to retain 2100’ water depth, are all substantial problems that demand a new perspective on the Ice Age Floods.  Kosmographia Ep068 The Randall Carlson Podcast with Brothers of the Serpent – Kyle and Russ, Normal Guy Mike, and GeocosmicREX admin Bradley, from 4/26/21. • Episode #067: Subglacial Flood-forms Interpretation w/ Jerome Lesemann PhD

    07/07/2021 Duration: 02h12min

https://RandallCarlson.com     https://youtube.com/TheRandallCarlson     https://youtube.com/geocosmicrex    In this extended episode, we start off considering the movement and subglacial features of the Cordilleran Ice Sheet’s Puget Lobe, with its extensive tunnel valley systems and drumlins, and search for its obscure moraine. Arguments for catastrophic and gradual formation are discussed, as we head east into the flood-scoured basalt plateau and then also north into southern British Columbia for further examples. The Great Lakes Region, New York’s Finger Lakes, Lake Pend Oreille, “Lake” Missoula, Omak Plateau and Okanagan Valley, Moses Coulee and the Mansfield Channels, are all components of the Ice Age Floods “question” that we are fascinated by interpreting. Jerome provides more evidence for subglacial lakes and asks: “How can there NOT be water flowing in [to the Scablands] from southern British Columbia?” And so again – Back to Bretz… Kosmographia Ep067 The Randall Carlson Podcast with special guest Je

  • Episode #065: Scablands Megafloods - Questioning the Doctrine

    12/06/2021 Duration: 02h05min

https://RandallCarlson.com     https://youtube.com/TheRandallCarlson     https://youtube.com/geocosmicrex    Kyle and Russ update on their springtime vineyard duties as RC recalls the countdown to summer. Then he quickly gets back into the questions that still remain about the “merging megaflood” depositions at Tammany Bar, along the Snake River at Lewiston, Idaho. The eastern Scabland tract – the Cheney Palouse – has amazing erosional features that flush southward to the Snake, and also elicits many questions about the extent of the glaciers and the sources of the flood-waters. Lake Missoula, the ice dam, the disagreement in peak discharge rates, the Lake Pend Oreille basin – all inspire important questions and pose difficulties regarding the current doctrine of the Pacific Northwest’s Ice Age Floods. To conclude, we introduce our partnership with the brand new video and e-commerce platform “howtube” and its flagship “Randall Carlson” channel. • Episode #064: Secrets of Sacred Geometry Initiation

    29/04/2021 Duration: 01h42min

https://RandallCarlson.com     https://youtube.com/TheRandallCarlson     https://youtube.com/geocosmicrex    During a summary review of the recent Sacred Geometry workshop in Sedona, Arizona, Randall gets charged and keeps on rolling into some of the hidden meanings and wonders of the esoteric studies. Why Sacred? What does it all mean? Is there an Archetypal Realm? Understanding that Geometry at its core means “measure of the Earth”, we get into the many curious ratios between humans, the planet, the solar system and beyond. Are we suffering from amnesia as Velikovsky wrote about in the 1950’s? Immersing ourselves in the study and practice of Sacred Geometry can accelerate our connections to the Natural World and Cosmos, so you better listen more than once! • Episode #060: Relict Appalachian Megaflood Phenomena

    19/02/2021 Duration: 01h52min

RC reviews quotes by the geologists studying the Megaflood features throughout the Appalachians who struggle to grasp the scale of events and forces responsible for the ubiquitous relict features that are found. While noting the evolution of their conceptual framework, he pulls back and overviews the history of the birthing of the academic discipline of Geology, and its battles between the gradualist and catastrophist camps, which then leads again to the unresolved Energy Paradox. We’re putting that mystery back on the table, by revealing what has been hidden throughout the Holocene, as RC shares images of countless boulder deposits and peruses the latest terrain maps that expose the flow-forms from a cataclysm “difficult to conceive…under any imaginable condition of discharge.” https://RandallCarlson.com/links   https://youtube.com/TheRandallCarlson CBD RECOMMENDED - Listen to Randall’s experience with “CBD from the gods” after the mid-break at 47:26. • Episode #058: Intense Rainfall Events in the Southern Appalachians

    25/01/2021 Duration: 01h47min

https://RandallCarlson.com/links   https://youtube.com/TheRandallCarlson  https://youtube.com/geocosmicrex  RC goes through a series of papers, starting in 1960, outlining the progression of thinking about the cause of massive and numerous blockfields and sediment fans throughout the southern Appalachian Mountains, from the gradualist perspective of “periglacial” effects to a more catastrophic view of extraordinary, intense, and prolonged rainstorm events. From the James River in Virginia to North Carolina’s Grandfather Mountain and Flat Laurel Gap, the deposits throughout the region reveal evidence created by rare pluvial outbursts, leaving the geologists struggling to conceive their severity and conditions of discharge. Uniformity has value as a baseline, but problems arise when trying to make all changes fit that model, so with the recognition that none of these features are being built today – only being eroded by modern processes, the gradualist bubble is showing some breaches in its edifice. https://RandallCarlson.com/links   https://youtube.com/TheRandallCarlson  https://youtube.com/geocosmicrex  The first half of the show veers in an esoteric direction after seriousness turns into levity, when a trail is picked up that takes us into symbolism and ciphers, the Tarot and Temperance, Kabbala and the Hebrew alphabet, cycles of destruction and Freemasonry. After that whirlwind of mind-twisters, RC articulates a brief review to get us reoriented back into the megaflood evidence across North America. In preparation for our upcoming series of tours along the Cumberland Plateau, he moves the focus to the periglacial environment of the southern Appalachian Mountains called the Blue Ridge, where block streams, boulder fields, debris fans, high terraces, imbricated 100-ton slabs, and mass-wasting slides were deposited under conditions almost impossible to conceive. 29/12/2020 Duration: 01h52min

https://RandallCarlson.com/links   https://youtube.com/TheRandallCarlson  https://youtube.com/geocosmicrex   RC wants to show people that this evidence is everywhere around them, as we converge once again on Central New York State and the Finger Lakes / Lake Ontario region to explore the many glacio-fluvial features, many possibly the result of another proposed impact that created the Rochester Basin. With extensive use of the USGS National Map browser, RC ventures west into central Michigan’s Saginaw Lobe and Grand Valley flood channel, then further west to the many features related to the formation and catastrophic outflow of glacial Lake Wisconsin. We consider the accumulation of ice and glacier flow/spread, the differences between living and dead ice, flood and megaflood events of scaling magnitude, and the amazing opportunity that we have to study – with our modern tools of observation – a multi-million-year event that transpired very recently in Earth’s geological history. 22/12/2020 Duration: 01h45min

https://RandallCarlson.com/links   https://youtube.com/TheRandallCarlson  https://youtube.com/geocosmicrex   After covering recent fireball and dinosaur news, we get reoriented with the Finger Lakes (New York) region’s topography and erosion features, while relating the views of early natural philosopher James Hall – who recognized geomorphology that must have resulted from regional floods, and more recent geologists Wright and Shaw – who proposed that some landforms were from catastrophic subglacial discharges. Excitable RC browses around on the National Map viewer and Google terrain maps, showing the varied forms covering a broad area around Lake Ontario, and surmising a scenario that would create the traumatized landscapes. He then reads and explains thoroughly the results of seismic reflection profiles, reported on by Hinchey and Mullins in 1989, that identified layers of infill at the bottoms of the deeply eroded gorges, and how those six sequences would have been deposited. We then get back into the formation of drumlins and the problem of scale, while revealing massive swarms in and around Lake Ontario, which includes a deep basin that seems an emanation point for the radial Finger Lakes of central New York State. Amazing scenes abound in the many glens and gorges that feed into those long, narrow lakes, showing sudden catastrophic erosion. Finally, RC jumps back to the radial drumlin fields formed beneath the Michigan lobe, southwest of Green Bay, Wisconsin, and asks persistent questions regarding the timing and sequence of all these phenomenal flood features’ formations.
