The bad news is the Reds have been playing awfully good baseball for the last week. With three rookies scheduled to pitch for Cincinnati, the key for the Cardinals is to get to the bullpen. Offense Shines, Bullpen Fails in Loss to Dodgers
14/07/2022 Duration: 29minThe St. Louis Cardinals had a win slip from their fingertips last night in a 7-6 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Leading 6-0 in the 7th, the Cardinal bullpen surrendered 7 runs in the final three frames. Was this a cause of bad management, bad bullpen formation or players underperforming? How about a combination of all three. That said, the offense was wonderful last night, getting contributions up and down the lineup. Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado mashed early, but you also saw Andrew Knizner step up. What will his role be when Yadier Molina comes back?Tonight's game is an extremely tall task with an already depleted bullpen, Dakota Hudson on the mound and a good starter for the Dodgers. How can the Cardinals get the job done?WANT MORE DAILY ST. LOUIS CARDINALS CONTENT?Follow & Subscribe to the Podcast on these platforms…

He could be returning around the trade deadline and despite what his offensive production has been in 2022, that should be a positive for a team searching for their leader.Packy Naughton gets out of an unimaginable jam to save the game yesterday, earning more trust from Marmol and company. 08/07/2022 Duration: 30minDylan Carlson helped the Cardinals with his bat, his glove, and his arm yesterday as St. Louis avoided the sweep, It was an all-hands-on-deck night for the bullpen, but they held it together and only surrendered two runs in the extra-inning win. Cardinal Offense is Sputtering, and What Was Mikolas Upset With Last Night?
07/07/2022 Duration: 30minThe St. Louis Cardinals are in danger of getting swept by the Atlanta Braves. While the Braves are a good team with solid pitching, the lack of offense from the Cardinals is starting to be a concern. They aren't hitting with RISP and they're stranding too many runners on. Can Tyler O'Neil's and Harrison Bader's return help this team enough?Miles Mikolas was not as sharp as he's been, and he said he was frustrated with the Braves' hitters for getting time granted so late. Is his grievance justified? Also, injury updates on O'Neill, Dickerson, Matz and more!WANT MORE DAILY ST. LOUIS CARDINALS CONTENT?Follow & Subscribe to the Podcast on these platforms…

Should MLB Send Albert Pujols to the All-Star Game? (Yes)
06/07/2022 Duration: 31minIt's been reported that the commissioner now has the right to send someone to the All-Star game in recognition of their career accomplishments. Few people in the NL deserve it like Cardinals' legend Albert Pujols. It would be a return to LA, an opportunity for the nation to say goodbye to a legend and a chance for a memorable All-Star moment. JD and Lucas both wholeheartedly agree Rob Manfred should make this happen. Also, this team still (desperately) needs pitching. This is being made more evident by a report that Steven Matz's rehab start could become a MLB start against Atlanta on Thursday. WANT MORE DAILY ST. If it Wasn't Clear Before, It's Clear the Cardinals Need Pitching Now
27/06/2022 Duration: 27minThe starting rotation for the St. Louis Cardinals took a hit on Monday with Jack Flaherty going to the IL with a shoulder strain. Gorman Impressing Early in Career
22/06/2022 Duration: 27minNolan Gorman has 6 home runs in 29 games, including 2 last night against Milwaukee. We knew he'd strike out, but we didn't know he'd adjust to the majors so quickly. If he keeps up this pace, an All-Star appearance and a running at Rookie of the Year are not out of the question. In other news, Jack Flaherty struggled for a second straight start. It's difficult to watch, but we know the talent is still there, he just has to execute.WANT MORE DAILY ST. LOUIS CARDINALS CONTENT?Follow & Subscribe to the Podcast on these platforms…

Cardinals Offense Stymied Last Night, but Jack Looks to Right Ship in Game Two

St. Louis will now look to win two of the next three, and it turns to Jack Flaherty to do that in game two. Flaherty will look to execute more in his second start of the season. The show finishes up talking about the lack of production from Cardinal catchers this season.WANT MORE DAILY ST. Cardinals Leave Boston Disappointed in Bullpen, But Crucial Series in Milwaukee this Week
20/06/2022 Duration: 31minThe St. Louis Cardinals dropped two of three over the weekend in Boston, and the main takeaway is that this bullpen needs help. Giovanny Gallegos and Ryan Helsley were not used, so the rest of the 'pen got a chance to step up and they did not. Both Friday and Sunday saw 9th-inning comebacks squandered due to late runs given up by the bullpen in the 7th or 8th innings. This week's series against the Brewers is as important as a series can get in mid June. Both teams are 38-30, so the Cardinals will be looking to take advantage of four games against their division rival. It'll be a tall task, especially tonight, because that Brewer pitching is awfully good.WANT MORE DAILY ST. LOUIS CARDINALS CONTENT?Follow & Subscribe to the Podcast on these platforms…

Jack Flaherty's First Start Was Bad, But Let's Not Give Up Hope Yet
17/06/2022 Duration: 26minJack Flaherty's return to the St. Louis Cardinals was underwhelming. There's no denying that, but what we can do is be patient with Flaherty as he works his way back. If a few things go differently Wednesday night defensively, it's a whole different narrative for the start. A healthy Jack Flaherty has the track record of being a top-notch arm. The biggest thing moving forward is keeping him healthy. Also, Dylan Carlson is starting to heat up. That's something we need to keep our eye on.WANT MORE DAILY ST. 17/06/2022 Duration: 28minThe St. Louis Cardinals are off to Fenway Park to battle the Boston Red Sox this weekend. Game One's matchup of Adam Wainwright v Michael Wacha is full of storylines. Once thought to be the Cardinals next ace, Wacha has found success so far in Boston. Wainwright, still the Cardinals ace, takes the mound in game one and will look for more success than he had in game one of the 2013 WS. Overall, the Cardinals have a chance to show that their offense can compete against a playoff caliber team this weekend.WANT MORE DAILY ST. What Does Jack Flaherty's Season Debut Mean for the St. Louis Staff?
15/06/2022 Duration: 27minJack Flaherty is making his 2022 season debut for the St. Louis Cardinals tonight. He'll be on a 60-pitch limit for the Redbirds, but his return is one that this staff needs badly. If he's able to pitch like he did in the second half of 2019 or the first half of 2021, him coming back elevates this staff to a whole other level. Regardless of his efectiveness, his return will mean one Cardinal will have to go. Who could that Cardinal be and how does the staff look differently once he returns?WANT MORE DAILY ST. Mikolas Close to History + Goldy is on an MVP Track
15/06/2022 Duration: 30minMiles Mikolas turned in 8.2 innings of spectacular work yesterday for the St. Louis Cardinals. He gave up just one hit in the ninth, and his last two performances are begging the question: is he a Cy Young Candidate? While that might be a dark horse, Paul Goldschmidt is definitely a favorite for the MVP. Goldy hit three more home runs for the Cardinals in their double header sweep of the Pirates yesterday and he doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon.WANT MORE DAILY ST.
