My Favorite Detectives Stories is a short form interview podcast for listeners who want to be inspired, informed and entertained by great detective stories. We hear from investigators past and present about the type of investigations they perform, how they got into this niche and what they feel are the traits of a good investigator. They will share their favorites detective stories with us.

He supervised organized crime figures in both jurisdictions. Rory has been a licensed private investigator in Florida for fifteen years. He is a Certified Legal Investigator, a distinction held by fewer than one hundred investigators worldwide. He is also a Board Certified Criminal Defense Investigator (CCDI), a Certified International Investigator (CII) and a Florida Certified Investigator (FCI). Rory is the author of two textbooks on the subject of investigation, Fraud Investigation (revised 2008), and Practical Handbook for Professional Investigators, 3nd Edition (2013). He is the owner of McMahon and Associates Detective Division, a very successful private investigation agency located in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. 08/01/2019 Duration: 59minTristram Hicks joined the London Metropolitan Police as a constable in 1985, retiring as detective superintendent in 2012. By 1999 he was head of financial intelligence at Scotland Yard, leading teams of field/ financial intelligence, surveillance officers & analysts. In 2004, he set up & commanded the London regional asset recovery team, the first multi-agency team in London to tackle serious organized crime by ‘following the money’, In the ten years prior to 2003, UK agencies confiscated an annual average of just £15m (cUSD20m) from criminals. Tristram was on the national all-agency committee that created and implemented the UK Proceeds of Crime Act, 2002.
