Barracuda is one of may favorite fish to target, especially in the winter time. I typically use a modified lure that isn’t typically used to catch barracuda in shallow water. In this episode, I go through exactly what kind of lures I look for, and all of the special modifications that I make in order to make it the perfect lure for catching barracuda. As 2020 is coming to a close, many people are starting to think about their resolutions for 2021. Many of these are fitness resolutions, but I am going to run through some principles that you can apply to really any resolution. In this episode, I dig into many of the things that you need to have set up in order to be successful with your resolution. Many times this is going to require a major behavioral change and it isn’t just going to happen without some motivation. I talk about one of my favorite books of all time, Atomic Habits by James Clear. I strongly recommend you give this book a read. You can pick it up here. James talks about how to have success with these behavioral changes in your life. Cole Harrison is a native to Key West and has now found himself living in Fiji. I first discovered Cole because of his impressive Instagram photos (triplec.cole) and especially some of his underwater shots. Cole grew up in Key West and has an extensive knowledge of the fish that live there. Brady Trautman and Alex Blue of SV Delos fame were part of a team that just released an amazing documentary about their sailing trip around the island of Svalbard.  Together with Brian Trautman and Karin, they teamed up with Andy Schell and Mia Karlsson on the SV Isbjorn to form an 8 person team for this adventure. Svalbard lies 600 miles north of Norway and part of the island is above 80 degrees north, or the Arctic Circle.   Brady and Alex have some incredible stories from the trip about the wildlife, geology, ice and also trash from fishing gear, nets and general plastic coming from around the world. Maintaining your fitness is a crucial part of making sure you have an enjoyable day out on the water. You may think that standing in a boat all day wouldn’t have much of an impact on your legs, but it actually does. Kevin Pavlidis is employed by the FWC to capture invasive snakes and is also an alligator wrestler at the Everglades Holiday Park with the Gator Boys. For Physical Friday this week, we take a look at where I do all of my workouts. Over the years (and with help from LOTS of people), I have built up what some people call “The Ultimate Home Gym” in my garage and yard. I have a solid group consisting of hundreds of people over the years that have donated and contributed to building this gym. We are all able to reap the benefits, and I am just lucky enough to have the space to keep it all. I would argue that this is a great alternative to a gym membership, and you can do this too in your own community.
