Thanks to a special opportunity through FLATSIXES.com, I was able to have a telephone conversation with Mr. CJ Wilson, pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, and team owner of CJ Wilson racing. This weekend, his racing team is introducing a new GS class Porsche 997 race car for the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge with drivers Marc Miller and Tyler McQuarrie. I spoke with Mr. Wilson about his car, his drivers, and his future ambitions for the team. We also spoke about his penchant for Porsche road cars and his personal history with the brand. He's a true enthusiast, and it was a lot of fun talking to him. Thanks for the opportunity, CJ!

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to go to the California bay area to spend the day with Alex Ross of Sharkwerks fame. I was there to record video and drive the now infamous "Sharkwerks GT2" with visual touches by Magnus Walker. An ex-pat computer nerd, Mr. Ross came over here as a journalist, and eventually moved into the Porsche performance game because that's what he was passionate about. I don't really know what to say about this one. I was very excited for this, because I was down visiting with Scott of Renegade Hybrids, because I was shooting video of the shop's newest creation, a 700 horsepower 987 Cayman S. How do you make 700 horsepower with a Cayman? Shove a modified seven liter GM LS7 V8 in the middle. Scott was a very cool guy, and was very welcoming. I can't say enough good things about him, or the car, so here's some audio of me fangirling for just over half an hour.

Last week I had a chance to conduct a skype interview with my friend Sara regarding her position at the Ford Piquette Plant musuem. It is known as the birthplace of the Ford Model T, and thus practically the birthplace of the automobile. Eric Rood of the Rusty Hub and Hooniverse fame joins Tub to give you a preview of the second major endurance race of the season, the 12 Hours of Bathurst coming up this weekend. This is an amazing cast of drivers, and the number of factory or quasi factory backed GT3 cars in the top class is just getting a little crazy. While the V8 Supercars series has decided to be a bunch of dillholes and not allow their drivers to compete in the 12 hour, there are still some amazing international driving talents that will be on the mountain for an all out assault. We give rundown info on all of the classes, and give a bit of a random discussion on which cars will do best in their respective classes.
