The Cammed And Tubbed Podcast

The boys are back in town, having returned from their various trips and vacations. Most notably, Brad attended teh Virginia City Hillclimb and Jason drove the Audi A3 Cabrio.

Cam and Tub have had a busy week! They recap their Hooniverse takeover, as well as Cam's trip to our nation's capital. Cam also waxes poetic (or not) about the virtues of vehicle maintenance.

Over the weekend of the Monterey Motorsports Reunion, I (Tub) invited my father out for the weekend to partake in the festivities. He was probably the inspiration and genesis of my automotive enthusiasm. We've never really had a conversation like this before, so it was nice to sit down for an hour and talk about his life as a young car enthusiast. He's never been a furrin' car guy, so it was interesting seeing him at Monterey. "Is that a Ferrari?" No, that's a Lotus. "Is that a Ferrari?" No, that's an Acura. "Is that a Lamborghini?" No, that's a Ferrari. If I can leave you with some advice, interview your parents. Talk about their past. Chances are, there's some good history there.

We made it to episode 69, and we didn't even make any jokes about it. Are we that mature, or just that forgetful?Cam's gone, but Jason checks in from Texas, and Brad was just in Monterey. We talk about auctions, recap our game from last week, talk about McQueen Mania. The Hellcat might die in 2019, Miller motorsports park has been saved from death by China, Jason drove a Mercedes SL55 and a Porsche Turbo S. It's a pretty good episode, so give it a listen.

Jason's back this week, in time to guess sale prices for upcoming auctions with Cam in a game administered by Brad. Jason is eager to go to Texas, Cam looks forward to his vacation, and Brad looks forward to visiting Laguna Seca with his dad.

We didn't have Jason again because he was busy doing other things, but Cam and I had some fun on this episode. Hitchbot, our buddy James' cross-country road trip, Brad went to NorCal Vintage VW and Porsche Treffen, Cam went to Mid Ohio to watch some racing, we listened to a different podcast about the NUMMI plant, and Brad is building a Lego Ferrari.  

Jason's back from his birthday hiatus (and his stint on the hoonicast and TST), and he's joined as usual by Cam and Tub. Cam's still recording with his cellular telephone, hopefully for the last time. The Holy Trinity is back in action this week with a new episode of the C&T show (W/ Jason). Cameron's computer problems are still persisting, but we managed to muscle through it. This one was more fun than average, and you should probably give it a listen.This episode's topics include: The 3Ds (Drinks, Driving Music, and "What's on your Desk"), A rant about Richard Rawlings and how he relates to the documentary "King of Kong", Countach values?, Dream Parts, Shelby Dakotas, Embarassing Car Stories, I say "Ummm" a lot, Jason gets lasik eye surgery, Cam's playing a show (tonight!) and Shoutouts.

We had a bit of a technical SNAFU this week, and couldn't get the episode to work, so we're re-releasing an important episode from our back catalog. Anyway, walk down memory lane with us on this one. It might have been the first to feature the Theme Song, it was our first episode with a guest, and it was a pretty fun discussion. Go give it a listen.

Cam's computer is borked, so Tub and Jason sit down for a nice long chat. Discussion ranges from Project Boxster updates and Pikes Peak to Mustang GT350R and Goodwood. We did some alleged speeding, and worked through some psychological issues. Enjoy the 4th of July, fools!

Jason is back to talk about the ATS-V and compare it to the M4 he just drove. Cam's band gets a new tour vehicle, and Brad talks about hillclimbs.

Once again, Cam & Brad are decidedly Jason-less. They're starting to think he doesn't like them. Brad regales us with stories from his honeymoon in LA with a new Boxster GTS. He visited European Collectibles, Singer Vehicle Design, Canepa Design, and the Petersen Museum, Cam played a Dirt Rockets concert and included a musical treat at the end of this week's episode.

Brad is off celebrating his honeymoon, and Cam and Jason discuss undercoating, vans for rock bands, the BMW 3er's impending LCI (Life Cycle Impulse), the sound of the GT350R, and Chris Hayes' Corvette. They also talk about their favorite video game music.

Le Mans is this weekend. Get excited about it with Brad and Eric.

Brad is in Cleveland celebrating his impending nuptials, and he's driving a Nissan Rogue and Cam's Mustang. Jason drove several new convertibles and some off-road vehicles, and he gives his opinion of a C5 Z06. Cam gets upset about Formula 1.

Cam is sick, and Jason is out of town at an event. Undeterred, Cam & Brad begin with the three Ds - Drinks, Desk, and Driving Music. Brad cancels his Drive+ subscription, and Cam's ex-boss is looking at jail time.

Brad is at an event for Hyundai in LA. Cam is upset about everything. The boys discuss music, press drives, and ponycars. Don't miss it!

Resident motorsport nerd Eric Rood calls in for a conversation about this weekend's 500 mile race at Indianapolis. The 99th running of the race, in fact. While we normally get nerdy about endurance racing, the Indy 500 is almost like the roundy-round equivalent of endurance racing. Things like fuel and tire strategy and teams working together make this race as nerdy as any.  We got together to talk about this on Saturday before the race, so qualifying had'n't happened yet. I come back at the end with a post-qualifying report as well. Please enjoy
