Chaz & Aj In The Morning

Dan the CEO, and Dylan "captain of fun" were both in studio with Chaz and AJ this morning from Stony Creek Brewing. They talked about the Crowley family starting the brewery, the different flavor types they've tried, and tried to convince Chaz to give chocolate covered bacon a shot. 

Johnny from Mangia Apizza was on the phone with Chaz and AJ to address the viral review done by Barstool recently. Since the review has gone up, he's seen a massive influx of customers. (0:00)  Live Nation's Jimmy Koplik was on with Chaz and AJ this morning to talk about concerts coming to Connecticut, including some news about Tool at Mohegan. Plus, the anniversary of the Eagles playing the Yale Bowl was this week, so Jimmy shared some stories from the very hot day, and getting Joe Walsh onto the stage on time. Chaz and AJ had Roxy Petrucci on the phone this morning, to promote Vixen's show at Mohegan Sun on Friday in the Wolf Den. Roxy shared some excellent stories from meeting up with bands like Poison, Guns N Roses, and Ozzy Osbourne - who was pranked on stage by Roxy and the rest of Vixen.  Photo Credit: Reuters 

Fire Chief Ryan Litwin was on the phone with Chaz and AJ to talk about the dog rescue that took place in a Connecticut state park. Chief Litwin explained how the dog was able to climb, then jump from a tower. (0:00)   In Dumb Ass News, comedian Geo Perez was in studio as Chaz and AJ talked about a woman who woke up at her own funeral. AJ had a story to share that was a very similar incident. (10:09)  The Tribe called in their stories about crazy sports parents, as umpires and referees are quitting because of the unhinged behavior. Umpire Bob called to share the things he's experienced over the last ten years as an ump, and Katie shared a story about a riot she witnessed between parents. Chaz and AJ invited Joe Meyers the movie guy on to explain why the Golden Globes exchange is notable. Without the Hollywood Foreign Press involved, can the show be saved? Chaz and AJ brought in Vince Berry to announce, Michael "Cuticle" Killen to ref, and even had a surprise appearance at the end of the match. (10:55)  Joe Exotic "The Tiger King" was on the phone live from Federal Prison, to talk about his Presidential campaing continuing from behind bars. (31:03)  In Dumb Ass News, a man is arrested after repeated burglaries. It seems he was only interested in taking very specific items from the bedrooms of his victims. (46:03) 

Tomorrow, Chaz and AJ will debut their toe wrestling league, WTF Wrestling, with Toe Jam 1. Comedian Pat Oates was in studio, as Ruth unveiled her competitive nickname, and shared the comments from her nail technician over the weekend during her pedicure. 

New York Yankees play-by-play announcer John Sterling went viral over the weekend, for taking a foul ball off the dome. Chaz and AJ played the audio from the incident, and were so impressed that he was able to keep going after the impact. (0:00)  Stunt, or Stupid! Pat Oates was in studio to join AJ in the Flyswatter Challenge. Very similar to the tortilla slap challenge, they filled their mouths with water and then smacked each other with flyswatters. (13:00) Dani Barker's movie "Follow Her" has become one of Chaz's favorites of the year. Dani was on the phone with Chaz and AJ to talk about the real life experiences that lead to the movie being made. (21:30)

Art Alexakis, lead singer of Everclear was on with Chaz and AJ to talk about his lifelong goal of playing in a rock band. He remembers always having that dream, not necessarily to be famous, but to do well enough to support his family. Scot Haney was on to talk about the big weekend ahead of him. He's introducing his mother to his new, much younger boyfriend, and explained to Chaz and AJ about his club foot and the compression socks he wears.  Chaz and AJ decided to ask the Tribe about their fire stories, since the news this week has been all about smoke and fires. One guy burned his whole house down as a kid, and another nearly burned his arms off replicating a scene from a KISS video.  Boss Keith spent his Top 5 this morning recounting all the local Connecticut news that wound up being national talking points. 

Live Nation's Jimmy Koplik had a day he'd probably like to forget yesterday. Chaz and AJ greeted him with a little joke about the smoky conditions caused by the Canada wildfires, only to find out about the hellish day of concert rescheduling and angry fans Jimmy had to endure. 

Dumb Ass News - Chaz and AJ played audio of the world's most famous arm wrestler. This guy has amassed a huge following, largely because of his breathy, sexual-sounding instructions to his clients. (0:00) Chaz has considered becoming a landlord for some rental property, only to be immediately warned by friends about squatters. He asked the Tribe to share any experiences they've had with squatters, and one was so bad it made the news. The landlord involved in the story actually called in after to explain how costly the cleanup was for him. Plus, coach Anthony Sagnella was on to talk about the community help they are offering for the widow of Lt. Dustin Demonte of the Bristol Police Department. (13:47) Santino Ferrucci, Connecticut native and IndyCar Series driver with A.J. Foyt Racing was on to talk about his 3rd place finish at the Indy 500, and the toll his body takes while driving 230+ mph for hours on end. Why does Coca-Cola taste different depending on where/how you get it? Chaz and AJ explored the phenomenon with comedian Matt Lopes, who has a list of the "best" tasting Coke from bottles to fountain soda.  "Gadget Guy" Steve Greenberg was on to talk about the big VR announcement from Apple, which sounds like a big improvement on the Meta-verse.  After hearing about the money to made at a "tickle bar," Chaz and AJ opened the phones to the Tribe to call in the strange things they've done to make money.  Attorney John Haymond was in studio to talk about a big motorcycle ride, but spent a little time revisiting the time he was sued by Judge Judy, supposedly the first time she has ever sued ANYONE.  Image Credit: Chinnachart Martmoh / iStock / Getty Images Plus

Dumb Ass News - An escaped convict was identified and caught by police, because of his huge mistake in the fast food drive-thru. (0:00) Stunt or Stupid! AJ took a shot to the head from a metal garbage can (courtesy  of comedian Pat Oates) for every Spelling Bee word he was unable to spell correctly. Of course, this got off to a slow start with some controversy, but was AJ right this time? (3:50) Danny Coughlin, Assistant Chief with the New Haven Fire Department, was on to talk about the preparation for and execution of the rescue efforts in the building collapse over the weekend. WFSB's Scot Haney was on with Chaz and AJ and admitted he is in a brand new relationship. Scot didn't want to reveal too much about this person, but did admit that he is much, much younger than him. 

Comedian Emily Siero was in with Chaz and AJ, and comedian Pat Oates was on as a "self-serving weirdo parent." Apparently, for parents of students in Newington there is a competitive tradition of hanging signs for their graduating children. WFSB even covered the story, which includes tailgating mothers and "rules" to follow to hang your sign. (0:00) Dumb Ass News - A village-owned swan was killed and eaten by three guys in upstate New York, who claimed to think it was a duck. No one believed them, but the conversation turned to a strange topic about celebrities, and who would taste better. (14:00) Advice to the graduates!
