  • 25: Discovering Your Core Values

    27/05/2016 Duration: 11min

I really thought I would have done this episode a lot sooner. Because core values are something I am super passionate about. I believe knowing them and being clear on them REALLY helps show us our own path to happiness and fulfilment. As well as allowing us to show up in the world in the way we want. So I made this episode to help you understand core values and why they are so, so useful to get some clarity on. And a three step exercise on how to get clear on your own core values. • 24: How To Stop Worrying About The Future

    25/05/2016 Duration: 06min

Something I tend to do is worry about the future a lot. If something is coming up then I'll think about it and draw various different story lines of what COULD happen in the lead up to this 'thing' in the future. It creates nothing but panic, mental chaos and a inaction. So in this episode I share a little exercise I do to remind myself of the present moment. And how those stories I'm creating are just that... STORIES! Take a listen via the player at the top of the page. • 23: Doing The 'Inner Work' To Battle Drug & Alcohol Addiction with Micheal Hilton

    23/05/2016 Duration: 57min

Micheal Hilton's story is truly inspirational! He's gone from spending several years of his younger life addicted to drugs and alcohol, to living a life full of purpose that impacts so positively on others. But what makes Micheal's recovery from addiction so interesting to me is his focus on doing the 'internal work'. He essentially used 'personal development' work to pull himself out of addiction, depression and suicidal thoughts, which is pretty amazing. In The Episode, We Talk About… Micheal's battle with alcohol and drugs. How he overcame his inner demons to pull himself from the brink of suicide. The book that started Micheal's personal development journey. The 'brat' inside our heads, and how to calm it down. Why overcoming negative things appearing 'externally' in your life is an 'internal' battle. What Micheal learned from his period of addiction, and what you can take from this. And much more... 18/05/2016 Duration: 07min

Ever find yourself messing around with meaningless stuff to delay getting that 'thing' out there? I know I do. Procrastinating on all sorts of stuff. Needing things to be perfect. Analysing everything to the bone. It all holds us back so much! So today, I made a podcast episode about it. I talk about... How to stop being such a perfectionist about everything. What's really making you procrastinate. Why taking a step back can help. Two questions to ask to push through and get shit done. My experience with procrastinating and perfectionism and how I got through it. Take a listen via the player at the top of the page. • 21: Overcoming Self-Destructive Behaviour & Working Out What You Want with Faith Reed

    16/05/2016 Duration: 56min

It was absolutely awesome speaking with Faith Reed. After becoming friends on Facebook, I instantly became aware of how powerful and incredible her message is. So I was stoked that she said yes to joining me on the podcast. But, like all of us, Faith's had her struggles in the past. After moving to the UK from Nairobi when she was 16, she developed issues with drugs, alcohol and eating disorders. It's been a long road of ups and downs, including developing Chronic Fatigue Syndrome along the way, but Faith now seems to be doing incredible things in this world. In The Episode, We Talk About... Faith's story of struggling with drugs, alcohol, eating disorders and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome to living her dream life. How to stop self-destructive behaviours. A simple, yet hugely effective, 'awakening' exercise. Why we sometimes struggle to work out what we really want. How to stop trying to pull yourself in various different directions and ending up getting nowhere. Why personal development work can help you overcom

  • 20: Bringing Joy Into Your Business

    13/05/2016 Duration: 08min

I'm in America right now. Something I'm doing is helping a few local kids out with some football (soccer) coaching. I love it. But the other day one of the kids couldn't do it last minute. So I was left with a spare hour and just a football and a set of goalposts. I loved just kicking the ball around by myself. I felt like I was 14-years-old again! But this made me think about how we need to bring love and joy into our businesses. So I made a podcast episode about it. I talk about... Bringing joy and love into your business and life. How to work out what you do love in your business. And how to bring more of it into your business. Why it's also ok NOT to love everything in your business. • 19: What's Your 200 Year Goal?

    11/05/2016 Duration: 10min

Join the Facebook group here >> Enlightened Entrepreneurial Badasses This is a question I once heard from former guest on the show, Dax Moy, and I just HAD to share it. It's all to do with what you want your 200 year goal to be. We all have goals, visions and things we want to achieve. But I'm certain most of us haven't really thought about what we want our 200 year goal to be. So this is more about your legacy. And what you really want to be remembered for. I talk about... What a 200 year goal is. How it can help you get clear on your legacy. Why it's important to have a 200 year goal. My own 200 year goal that tends to get me a bit fired up. How to figure out your 200 year goal. Take a listen via the player at the top of the page. Or head over to iTunes and subscribe there for Apple lovers, and over on Stitcher for non-Apple peeps. • 18: The Art & Science of Epic Vision Creation with Andy Smith

    09/05/2016 Duration: 01h07min

Join the Facebook group here >> Enlightened Entrepreneurial Badasses Holy shit balls! I absolutely loved talking with Andy Smith on this episode. He's such a nice guy and a complete badass when it comes to mindset, vision creation and helping entrepreneurs to supercharge their business. Andy was a corporate dude chasing money and material things before everything fell apart when he was arrested for drug possession and fell into a period of crisis and depression. We talk about Andy's story and what he calls the 'death of his ego' that occurred prior to a spiritual awakening and what he learned from the whole experience. This is a seriously fascinating conversation that I could have continued for several more hours. In The Episode, We Talk About... Andy's story of going from 'corporate douche', to getting arrested, to spiritual awakening. How Andy 'killed his ego' and why it is so beneficial for living a happy, fulfilled life. How to align your entire life with love. How to really find your passion. Moving int

  • 16: Discovering Your Message to the World

    04/05/2016 Duration: 09min

Join the Facebook group here >> Enlightened Entrepreneurial Badasses We all have shit we want to say to the world. And I'm no different. But there was a question at a recent retreat I was on that just plain stumped me. It was about my message to the world. And I couldn't for the life of me bring it all together into anything coherent. It pissed me off!! But it's such an important thing to know the answer to so that you get clarity on a number of things... What you want to say. The kind of impact you want to make. Your legacy! And that's what I cover in today's podcast. I talk about... The powerful question to help discover your message that had me stumped. Why it's vital to know what message you want to bring. How to have that message shining through all your activities and businesses. Leaving the legacy that you want to leave. Why the business 'USP' is dying, and how your message and story is the new USP. • 15: How To Get Out Of Your Head & Deal With Negative Thoughts with Bob Buckley

    02/05/2016 Duration: 01h07min

Join the Facebook group here >> Enlightened Entrepreneurial Badasses Bob Buckley is a deep thinking dude. And the conversation we had for this podcast interview is both deep and fascinating. Bob is 'The Soul Scientist'  and works as a pretty high level coach right now and helps people create in internal shift that empowers them with the ability to go on and make massive impact. He has always been fascinated by the human complex and why we do and say the things we do, which initially set him off on a path as a linguist. But it hasn't always been sunshine and rainbows for him. After returning from running a pretty successful language coaching company in Germany to come back to the UK, Bob suffered for a long time with a loss of identity, depression and anxiety. He learned a lot from this time in his life and the way he managed to pull himself out of it. So in our conversation we speak a lot about this, what he learned and all the mental shittery that seems to get us all paralysed at various points in our lives.

  • 14: WTF Actually Is 'Hard Work'?

    29/04/2016 Duration: 09min

Join the Facebook group here >> Enlightened Entrepreneurial Badasses  We're constantly being told that we cannot achieve anything in life without 'hard work'. All the gurus and talking heads telling you to hustle, push and work, work, work... HARD! But you know what I associated this with for many years? Suffering. I had this belief that you had to SUFFER in order to achieve something. And if I wasn't suffering, then somehow success wouldn't happen or it simply wouldn't last. Don't get me wrong, you have to 'do work' to achieve success. But why does it have to be hard? Why do we have to associate suffering with success. Why can it not just be... work? And this is the subject of today's podcast episode. I talk about... Why achieving a goal doesn't need to be associated with suffering. How to have fun and enjoy the process of moving towards your vision. Re-defining what 'hard work' is. Why the RIGHT work trumps 'hard work' every time. Why it's not necessary to suffer your way to success. Why I hate the word 'h

  • 13: How To Avoid The Deadly Mental Trap Of 'Measuring Forwards'

    27/04/2016 Duration: 08min

Join the Facebook group here >> Enlightened Entrepreneurial Badasses Ever feel like your goals and visions are so far away that there's no point in trying anymore? Hell, I know I've felt it. Constantly looking forwards and thinking all my hopes and dreams are too far away. It doesn't matter how far I've come, it's never enough. This is how I used to think. And without realising it, I was falling into a deadly mental trap that was keeping me stuck and feeling like a failure. But there's a way to measure your success WITHOUT ever making yourself feel like a failing douchebag. And that's exactly what I talk about in today's podcast episode. I talk about... The deadly mental trap most of us fall into that keeps us stuck. How to use your goals and vision as inspiration, not measuring sticks. Why measuring BACKWARDS, not forwards, is so much better for staying happy and feeling successful. The three-pronged approach I use to get out of a funk. How the standard way of chasing goals puts you on a never ending treadm

  • 12: Andre Duquemin on Going From 'Successful' to Breaking Down & Shouting At Bushes

    25/04/2016 Duration: 53min

Join the Facebook group here >> Enlightened Entrepreneurial Badasses   It was so interesting talking with Andre Duquemin. In his mid-30s, Andre 'should' have been happy. He had a successful business, nice car, nice house, nice family and all that stuff. Yet he suddenly found himself coming to an abrupt realisation that, despite having all of this, he was pretty chuffing miserable. To me, this is a testament to the fact that we must all do work on ourselves if we want to be happy and live a joyful, meaningful life. Simply chasing some future goal we believe will give us happiness will never work. It's this kind of 'inner work' that Andre used to get him through this period in his life, and now he works as a coach to help men suffering with similar issues to get through it themselves. So in this interview I talk to Andre about how he came through this crisis in his life... and how to avoid it happening to you. In The Episode, We Talk About... Andre's story of how he went from seemingly 'successful' to his brea

  • 11: Two Words That Can Create Instant Inner Peace & Happiness

    22/04/2016 Duration: 10min

Join the Facebook group here >> Enlightened Entrepreneurial Badasses That's a bold promise, I know. But these two words really did help me just release a lot of head shizzle that was building up. And these words are: "Fuck it". Or "let go" if you don't want to be so crude about it :) Anyway, saying 'fuck it' to stuff does make a lot of things better. This isn't about just taking the 'lackadaisical route' with everything and turning completely into the Dude Lebowski. But more about how we tend to attach so much meaning to SO many in a pretty needless way in most cases. Think about something that's creating struggle right now in your life. A problem, an issue, something that sits in the back of your mind. Can you just say 'fuck it' and let it go? Would it not be pretty cool if you could simply decide to not attach so much meaning to it? I know, it can be hard. There are things you've grown up with and built a lifetime of attachment to. But what kind of person would you be become if you could... let it go and mo

  • 10: Please Don't Ever Be Like This Guy

    20/04/2016 Duration: 09min

Join the Facebook group here >> Enlightened Entrepreneurial Badasses I watched the film 'About Schmidt' recently. It's one of my favourites. A bit of a dark and dry comedy. It's about a guy played by Jack Nicholson who's about to retire. Only he finds himself realising he feels like he kind of wasted his life. Never really took the big risk. Played the 'safety game'. And got stuck in middle management without making the true impact he felt like he could have. Don't get me wrong, there's NOTHING wrong with taking this route. You can be truly happy. But, for me, it's one of my greatest fears. Getting towards the end and thinking... shit! Anyway, I talk more in the episode about it and the lessons I take from the film. I talk about... The meaning I take from the film 'About Schmidt'. One of my greatest fears. How I use this to inspire and motivate me. Why it's important to figure out what makes you happy NOW! The act of simply DECIDING to do stuff differently. Why it's important to keep reminding yourself of wh

  • 09: Paul Glezer on the 10 Day Silent Meditation Retreat That Healed His Anxiety & Nervous Twitches

    18/04/2016 Duration: 50min

Join the Facebook group here >> Enlightened Entrepreneurial Badasses It's really cool being around someone like Paul Glezer, even if it is just via Skype. I had the great pleasure of being on Paul's own podcast, My Wellness Wishlist, a few weeks back, and now we're reversing the roles for him to be a guest here on Enlightened Entrepreneurial Badasses. He's based down in Melbourne, Australia where he works as a health and wellness coach with spirituality and a 'holistic view' being a large part of what he does. But here on the podcast we talk about Paul's story and how he went from suffering with pretty obvious nervous twitches and anxiety in his childhood, to pretty much curing this within two days of going on a silent meditation retreat in India. It's a great chat we had, in which we talk more in detail about what actually went down on a daily basis at this silent meditation retreat and how Paul took what he learned there and applied to to his life afterwards. As well as a whole host of other stuff, so I hig

  • 08: What Does Success Look Like To YOU?

    15/04/2016 Duration: 10min

Join the Facebook group here >> Enlightened Entrepreneurial Badasses We all want to be be successful. But I think we sometimes forget to define what success actually means to us. We just get out of school and 'fall forward' into an area we think would be pretty cool to work in. Get a family, get a house, get a car, go on holiday and get some form of income to pay for all this stuff. Then if you can get something to pay you more income you can have more stuff and bigger, better versions of it. Simples, right? Then, before we know it, we realise that we've pretty much been blindly following someone else's path. And we're just left wondering... "Why the piss is this not making me happy?" But if you define what success means to YOU, it actually does become a lot simpler. Actually spend some time thinking what it is you WANT out of life and what makes you happy. Then reverse engineer it so you know exactly how much money you need to earn from whatever your 'thing' is in order to fund the life you want. All is reve

  • 07: Why It's Okay To Be Whatever You Are Right Now

    13/04/2016 Duration: 08min

Join the Facebook group here >> Enlightened Entrepreneurial Badasses Have you ever considered that it's actually okay to be whatever or whoever you are right now? I'm serious. I think a lot of the time we strive to be bigger and better so much that we forget to think that right now might actually be pretty cool if we allow it to be. Broke? That's okay. Struggling with your business? That's okay. Overweight and out of shape? That's okay. I'm not saying you should just accept it and stay as you are forever. It's also absolutely okay to want to be better and achieve bigger and better things. But wanting to change or grow because you dislike yourself right now I think is a recipe for being in a constant state of chasing something in the future to make us happy I explain more in the episode. I talk about... Why it's okay to be you right now, even if society says it's not. How self-acceptance can lead to more joy and happiness RIGHT NOW. Why you don't need to have everything mastered to be a happy human. How to st

  • 06: JP Sears on Going From Class Clown to Inner Awakening & Being Hilariously 'Ultra Spiritual'

    11/04/2016 Duration: 01h02min

Join the Facebook group here >> Enlightened Entrepreneurial Badasses Almost as soon as you meet JP Sears you just get a feeling that this is one pretty deep thinking yet comically gifted dude. I love his style and have admired for a time how he puts across his awesome message in such an hilarious way. So when I reached out and he said yes to coming onto the podcast I did an Ultra Spiritual jig to celebrate. JP has always been a bit of a comic, but in this interview we talk about how he used to use clownery to get attention and cover up emotional scars while growing up. After a few years being a bit lost, he then found his calling and now has a thriving coaching business helping others to heal their emotions and awaken themselves from within. But one of my favourite parts of what JP does is his YouTube channel. This has now garnered a pretty big following after JP embraced his humour to deliver his 'Ultra Spiritual Life' series, a tongue-in-cheek look at today's 'new-age' movement. I highly recommend you check

  • 05: Your "I Am" Statement For A Powerful Mindshift

    08/04/2016 Duration: 11min

Join the Facebook group here >> Enlightened Entrepreneurial Badasses Do you talk to yourself? I do! Well, I actually do talk to myself. Out loud. When nobody else is there. Apparently this isn't because I'm completely mental, but that I'm just a certain type of learner. Some would say a slow or a 'special' one, but we'll leave that for now. Anyway, we all talk to ourselves in some way or another. Whether it be out loud or not. But with this podcast episode I'm talking specifically about how you talk to yourself with regard to your own identity. Most of us have an identity that we build up about ourselves that dictates the kind of person we are, actions we take and opportunities we create. "I am an entrepreneur" "I am an athlete" "I am a failure" Whether positive or negative, it's all very powerful language that swills around the old brainbox, often without us even realising. And most of the time we only alter that identity once we get a certain result. For example, we only assume the identity of a writer once
