Get to the Podcast kicks off GANGSTER MONTH with the underrated 1990 classic KING OF NEW YORK!  What do you get when you combine the birth of the modern Walken, an out of his mind Larry Fishburne, and according to Cali the most corrupt cops in the history of film?  You get yourself a God Damn gangster classic.  Time to Get to the Podcast.

This week GTTP takes a trip inside the insane circus that is the Nevada criminal justice system. A deeply disturbed man has committed heinous crimes, and it's up to Dr. Octopus to convince a judge within two hours that this man has internally murdered his the perpetrator of these crimes and to spare his life. Who better than to aid on this journey than John Cusack and Ray Liotta of course? This is a movie that's first viewing is it's best so naturally we will discuss why Ryan has seen this movie over 100 times.

The year is 1995. A relatively unknown director who merely wants to live a humble existence making movies where he films entire city blocks explode. He needs to make a good first impression in the industry so he decides to cast two up and coming actors as his leads. He reaches out to Fox's Martin Lawrence and asks him to play a constantly worried police officer who is always trying to reign in his parter, played by the Fresh Prince himself Will Smith. Mike LOWWWERY is your typical millionaire police officer who runs in circles with models and high end escorts when he's not too busy getting screamed at by his Captain for murdering 3 people on a drug bust. The result? Bad Boys.

In this week's episode we attempt to not discuss The Fanatic, and fail miserably. We also spend a little time discussing one of the biggest movies of 2019, the bland and instantly forgettable Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw. What a terrible title! Have action blockbusters regressed for the last ten years? Hobbs & Shaw will answer that.

2019. One of the best movie years in recent memory.  Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, The Irishman, Joker, and THE FANATIC.  We can 100% say with a straight face and zero exaggeration this movie is as memorable as all three and our lives will never be the same again.  What do you get when you mix Fred Durst, a swinging for the fences John Travolta, and Autism?  You get a god damn cinematic classic.  Now buckle up and get to the podcast.

This weeks' episode matches our technical prowess with the technical ability of the plot of our movie. Sorry for any audio issues we couldn't get it together this week. Then again, this movie is so terrible maybe it's not bad thing.

It's the age old town of a town being terrorized by a local political figure who refuses to acknowledge a sinister issue in his town in order to maintain his grip on power. That's right we're doing the Steven Spielberg iconic classic Jaw - excuse me? I'm sorry, I've been informed this movie is actually something called Arachnophobia? Well anyway it's the spider movie with the fantastic John Goodman role. You know what it is now Get to the Podcast or a spider will crawl on your face when you go to bed tonight.

Do you like your turn your brain off Sci-Fi Thrillers to have a touch of sexual assault? THEN BOY DO WE HAVE THE MOVIE FOR YOU! 2000's Kevin Bacon erotic horror movie HOLLOW MAN.  A comically indestructible villain, an extremely bland Josh Brolin, and non stop dark sexual energy. This one has it all. Time to Get To The Podcast! 

Bad acting?  Check.  Lame and boring action?  Check.  Shameless Matrix plot and bullet time thievery?  BIG TIME CHECK.  This week (for some reason) Kevin and Ryan are subjecting themselves to 2001's Jet Li vehicle THE ONE.  Please don't watch this piece of junk but you can still GET TO THE PODCAST!

The people have spoken, and for this year, GTTP will be tackling Scream for Halloween! One of the last horror classics to be made, this one has a lot going on. The rules of horror are put to the test as a bunch of people in their mid 20's attempt to play 16 year olds in Woodsboro, the whitest town in fictional America. Make sure you tune in or else your parents are going to be so mad at you.

Tune in this week to find out how General Irwin's negligent actions as a 3 star general will now work as a means to clean up the extremely corrupt Castle military prison. Also come get some fantastic motivation from Robert Redford, the likes we have no seen outside of Sylvester Stallone in Rocky Balboa.

The movie Ghost: Nothing breaks our hearts like a movie starring a ghost coming to terms with everything they must leave behind on Earth. Especially when it's a storybook romance with your gorgeous soulmate, your new friend, the hilarious and mysterious Oda Mae Brown, and a future in the finance industry that is bankrolling a seemingly priceless pottery collection.
