We tell the stories of the victims, the facts surrounding the cases, and look at all possible suspects. We don't take ourselves too seriously but we take true crime very seriously.

    16-year-old Cathy Moulton disappeared on September 24, 1971 from Portland, Maine. She was last seen visiting with some friends at a music store. She had plans to attend a dance that night but didn't make it home for dinner with her family. As is true with many disappearance cases from that time period, the police told Cathy's family that she had likely runaway but would return. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the disappearance of Cathy Moulton. In the first few days, it was entirely on her family to look for Cathy and get the word out about her disappearance. Witnesses eventually came forward about sightings of Cathy. These sightings involved two young men named Lester Everett and Ronald Perley. There remains to this day many theories about what happened to Cathy, and, what role Lester and Ronald may have had in her disappearance.     In 2008, real estate agent Lindsay Buziak was showing a million-dollar home to a couple in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Her boyfriend found her stabbed to death inside the home, just minutes after she was killed. Investigators had very little physical evidence to go on in the search for her killer. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the mysterious murder of Lindsay Buziak. Investigators accounted for the alibis of Lindsay's boyfriend who was seen on CCTV footage leaving a business on his way to meet up with Lindsay at the home. They discovered that the couple, who had recently contact Lindsay to set up showings, had used a burner phone. And, the only number that was ever used by that phone was Lindsay's number. Was Lindsay the target of someone who wanted her dead? Or, did someone see her picture on one of her signs and target her as their next victim?     20-year-old Angela Marie Hammond's life was just starting to take shape. She went to college during the day and worked at night. She and her boyfriend, Rob Shafer, were due to have their first child together. But, on the night of April 4th, 1991, Angela was abducted by an unknown individual who drove off with her in a truck. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the disappearance of Angela Hammond. She was talking on a payphone to Rob when he heard her scream. He hopped into his truck and he said he chased a truck driven by the man who abducted Angela before Rob's transmission gave out. Many people in town felt that the details of the events that night were strange. But, Rob was pretty quickly ruled out by police, and the tips and leads that came in led them nowhere.     Wife and mother Amy Sher vanished in Massachusetts on October 18, 2002. She had been estranged from her family for over 10 years after she married her second husband Bob Desmond. Much suspicion has been cast on Bob over the years but the police have never been able to determine exactly what happened to Amy Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the disappearance of Amy Sher. Many mysteries surround this case. Amy's boss and co-workers have said that she often showed up with injuries which made them suspicious that she was being abused at home. They often tried to get her to seek help but she refused. Bob has said that his wife left him but his actions proceeding and following her disappearance have heavily scrutinized. Did Amy Sher leave her husband, as well as her six-year-old son, or was she the victim of foul play?   • The Cheetham Murders

    Kenneth and Iva Cheetham met and fell in love during World War II. They eventually married and settled in Washington State. Kenneth and Iva loved to travel and took yearly vacations to different spots around the country. In 1991, they set out to meet up with family for a vacation at Glacier National Park. They never joined up with their family and were later found shot to death. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the murders of Kenneth and Iva Cheetham. There are a number of mysteries that surround this case. Authorities knew they had both been shot but they were unable to conclusively identify the caliber of bullet used in the murders. They had very little to go on, the biggest lead was a missing video camera and bag with a strap that had the Cheethams' name on it. That strap was later found by itself. But, there were a number of other murders around the area where the Cheethams were found. Police had to figure out if they were connected.   • The Akron Spree Murders

    From August to December 1987, a series of murders were committed in the Akron, Ohio area that stumped the authorities. Four women, Janice Christensen, Joann Bartholomew, Marcia Piotter, and Barbara Blatnik were murdered. Janice, Joann, and Marcia were in their 30s or 40s and married, while Barbara was only 17-years-old and still in high school. Police struggled to figure out if the four murders were connected. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the details of these brutal murders. Valuable evidence, including DNA, was collected at the scenes. But, police were unable to solve the murders and the cases all went cold. A cold case team revisited Barbara Balatnik's case in 2019, trying to find her killer through the use of forensic genealogy. This resulted in the May 2020 arrest of a man named James Zastawnik. But, many questions remain. Will a jury convict Zastawnik of Barbara's murder and will police be able to tie him to any of the other three murders that they've felt for so many years are related. You can

  • Robin Cornell and Lisa Story

    In 1990, Jan Cornell and her 11-year-old daughter, Robin Cornell, were living in a townhouse with Jan's friend 32-year-old Lisa Story. On May 10, of that year, Jan returned to her Cape Coral, FL home from her boyfriend's house to find her daughter Robin and her friend Lisa brutally murdered. Over 25 years would pass before police got the break they needed to find a viable suspect. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the horrific murders of Robin Cornell and Lisa Story. Jan Cornell vowed she would never give up on finding the person who murdered her daughter and her friend. She kept that promise. In 2016, DNA connected a man named Joseph Zieler, who, in 1990, was 28-years-old and lived in the area. The case against Zieler looks promising but he not yet gone in front of a jury of his peers.     In 1950, Helen Brach married into the famous Brach candy business family. After her husband died in 1970, Helen was worth over 30 million dollars. She spent her time helping to save animals and created the Helen V Brach foundation in 1974. In February 1977, Helen flew to Minnesota for a comprehensive checkup with her physician. She was scheduled to fly back to her home in Chicago but she vanished. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the disappearance of Helen Brach. There have been a number of theories that have been raised over the years. Helen's butler, Jack Matlick, told a number of things to investigators that were contradicted by others, including his own wife. Richard Bailey was a known con-man who became involved with Helen after her husband's death. Many believe that he had a hand in Helen's ultimate fate.     In March of 2012, 18-year-old pre-med student, Colin Gillis, returned to his home in Tupper Lake, New York for spring break. He was excited to see his high school friends and told his parents he felt like it would be a reunion. On March 10th, Colin headed off to a party and he never returned home. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the mysterious disappearance of Colin Gillis. Details emerged about a fight that occurred at the party that night. Colin left a number of voicemails with friends asking for a ride home. But, some people later came forward to say that he had turned down their offers for a ride home. Colin headed off on foot after the party, but instead of turning toward his home, he walked in the opposite direction. A number of people saw him walking on the road in the early morning hours.     On July 15, 1982, a caretaker at a cemetery discovered the body of a young woman. Police could not identify her, and one officer began calling her Princess Doe. Two theories emerged, either she was a runaway, or she had been abducted from her family. But, after chasing leads and tips in the years that followed, she has still yet to be identified. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the case of Princess Doe. Over the years, the police have used advancements in DNA, but even that has proved unsuccessful. There have been people who have been linked to the murder, such as Joel Rifkin and Henry Lee Lucas, but police have discounted those high-profile killers. One couple even said they believe they killed Princess Doe as part of an underage sex ring. But, they couldn't identify her and the evidence didn't quite seem to line up. This case is still talked about in the city of Mason, almost 120 years later. The evidence seemed to indicate that John had murdered his wife, but the jury didn't see it that way. After his murder, suspicion quickly fell on two 15-year-old girls, Crystal Morris and Shanna Hall. Morris and Hall took a quick plea deal and blamed the murder on Shanna's boyfriend 22-year-old Alan Gell.  Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the murder of Allen Ray Jenkins. Gell was convicted and sentenced to death. But, in the years that followed, evidence surfaced that the state had evidence that a large number of people had seen Jenkins alive after the date they said he was murdered by Gell. This is a bizarre case that involves two men, at separate times, doing prison time for the murders. Anthony Porter was freed by the Northwestern University innocence project, and subsequently, Alstory Simon was convicted and sent to jail.     Between 1957 and 1990, the area of New South Wales, Australia, experienced a large number of murders of elderly women. Authorities began to speculate that the murders were committed by the same person. The media dubbed this murderer The Granny Serial Killer. Josephine McDonald and Wanda Amundsen were murdered in 1984 and 1986, respectively. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss not only the murders of Josephine and Wanda, but a large number of murders attributed to this serial killer. Some of the murders have been solved but many are still unsolved. Many of the murders were attributed to serial killer John Wayne Glover. When they headed from home around 11:30 in the morning, there was no way their family could have known that was the last time they would see their smiling faces.
