    The house at 657 Boulevard in Westfield, New Jersey has had a strange history in its over 100 years of existence. It has sold over the years a number of times for the price of just a dollar. In 2014, the Broaddus family bought the house for 1.3 million dollars. After they bought the house, the Broaddus family discovered that they had a watcher. Derek and Maria Broaddus, along with their three children, thought they had purchased their dream home.     11-year-old Shannon Paulk disappeared on August 16, 2001 from the Prattville, Al trailer park where she lived. Everyone in the park knew Shannon as a little girl brimming with personality. Her family said that she had never met stranger and she often helped her elderly neighbors with chores. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the disappearance and murder of Shannon Paulk. Her disappearance shocked the community but the discovery of her body seven weeks later rocked it to its core. The investigation into Shannon's case was hampered by the events of 9/11 and the federal resources that were devoted to that tragedy. The authorities have DNA and a composite sketch of an individual but later found out that the details of the sketch were fabricated.   • Barbara Barnes

    Barbara Barnes was just 13 when she disappeared on the morning of December 7th, 1995, as she was walking to school in Steubenville, Ohio. Her body was found in a shallow grave by the side of a creek two months later. Despite intensive efforts by law enforcement, no one was ever charged with her murder, and her case remains unsolved and cold after 25 years.  Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the case of the murder of Barbara Barnes. Police initially looked hard at a member of Barbara's family because her body was found 40 miles outside of town but just about a mile from a parcel of land owned by this family member. There have been many that have tied an ex-con named Richard Kolling to Barbara's murder. Kolling was in the area at the time and knew many members of Barbara's family. He also lived close to her apartment. There have been allegations that he sexually assaulted Barbara's younger sister and silenced Barbara when she found out.   • The Chicago Strangler

    The Chicago Strangler is a name given to one or more individuals who are believed to have murdered at least 51 women in the Chicago area between 2001 and 2018. It's impossible to know how many people are involved but many people question why, with all of the advancements in technology, these cases are still unsolved. There are some that say it's apathy on the part of the Chicago police department and that they have failed to fully investigate the crimes. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the perpetrator (or perpetrators) known as the Chicago Strangler. This is a tough case because the police have not given out much information. They are not convinced that these homicides are connected although the M.O. in many of these homicides is very similar. Residents of Melbourne, Australia, were terrified that their child might be the next one targeted. Dubbed Mr. Cruel by the press, the offender was calm and organized. The perpetrator appeared to have a high degree of knowledge of forensic techniques, leaving behind no clues or evidence that led to his identity. He remains unidentified to this day.     In 1995, 18-year-old Tina McMenamin was a college student at the University of Nebraska. She was living in an apartment with her childhood friend, going to school, and working at Godfather's pizza. On Tuesday, July 25th of that year, Tina failed to show up for her shift at work and was later found dead inside her apartment by her roommate. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the murder of Tina McMenamin. The investigators determined that the window for Tina's killer to strike was a very small one. But, they could not piece together a motive or zero in on the perpetrator. Based on DNA results in 1996, which could only limit the pool of suspects down a small degree, the police arrested a man named Gregory Gabel. Gabel had been diagnosed with schizophrenia and did have a history of being inappropriate with women. But, was he Tina's killer?     In 1984, 35-year-old Margaret Tapp, a single mother, and her 9-year-old daughter, Seana Tapp, were found dead in their home on 13 Kelvin Drive, in Ferntree Gully, Victoria, Australia. This case horrified residents as fears of a pedophilic attacker circulated throughout the neighborhood. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the murders of Margaret and Seana Tapp. Margaret Tapp was highly sociable and was well acquainted with many people. This meant that there were many potential suspects, which made it difficult for investigators to find the culprit. Despite the severity of the crime, the case remains unsolved for over three decades.   • The Denver Hammer Murders

    In 1984, the Denver, Colorado area experienced a number of sexual assaults and brutal murders that were carried out by a hammer-wielding perpetrator. He became known as the Denver hammer murderer or the Aurora hammer murderer. Regardless of the name used, there was no doubt this was a vicious predator. But, the police had no luck in catching him. It wasn't until 2018 that the Denver police got a DNA hit in Codis that their DNA evidence belonged to a man named Alex Christopher Ewing. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss this brutal series of crimes in the Denver area. Alex Ewing was taken just a few years ago after Nevada passed legislation requiring prisoners convicted of certain offenses to submit DNA. That's how Denver police got their match. They eventually were able to extradite Ewing back to Colorado and charge him with a slew of crimes. The evidence looks compelling but he has not yet had his day in court. Police believe that she made it to the end of her long driveway before she was taken from her Indiana home. The police were not called until after 11:00 PM the night Linda went missing because her mother worked second shift and her mother's boyfriend believed Linda was staying at a friend's house. The police began their investigation by looking at the family and then outward. But, they have never been able to come up with a motive for Linda's murder. A detective now working the cold case believes he knows who the murderer is but as of now does not have enough evidence to announce it or move forward.     On April 14th, 1984, a newborn baby boy was found strangled and stabbed in Kerry County, Ireland. The baby became known as Baby John. The ensuing investigation would come to be regarded as one of the most controversial in Ireland's history. The police investigation quickly led to a woman who had recently been pregnant. Because this woman was not married she tried to give birth on her own and the baby died.     In 1948, a mystery began that has spanned over 70 years when a man was found dead on Somerton beach in Australia. The authorities had to figure out who the man was because he had no identification on him. They also had to figure out what happened to him. The initial thought by the medical examiner was that he was poisoned but they found no traces of poison in his system. Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss one of the most interesting mysteries over the past 70 years. You will often see this case also referred to as the Tamam Shud case. This resulted from a piece of paper found on the man with these words on it which had been ripped from a copy of the book Rubaiyat. There have been many theories over the years including one that the man was a spy and was eliminated in such a fashion that it has left the police stumped. These are the type that keeps parents up at night worried about their children and what time they'll be home. Kathy and George-Ann were friends and neighbors, trying to enjoy the start of their summer vacation. The area where they lived and were killed is just outside of Rochester, New York. That area has seen its share of heinous murders over the years. But, who killed these two teenagers?
