  • Tony Volpentest - Fastest Man in the World

    03/08/2012 Duration: 01h16min

To those who are lucky enough to meet him, Tony is a superhero. A man who lives in the moment and who exemplifies his message of, "If you can dream it, you can achieve it!"  Most athletes can only dream of running in the Olympics. Tony Volpentest not only achieved this dream but rose to the top of his sport. This accomplishment is all the more incredible because Tony was born without hands or feet, yet was a four-time Paralympic Gold Medalist and five-time World Champion in the sprint distances. Tony’s condition is rare—afflicting 1 in 500,000. Yet Tony never considered himself disabled. As a high-school sophomore, he decided to try out for the track team, mostly in an effort to make friends. Competing against able-bodied runners, Tony ran in “half- shoes” that fit over his limbs—which made running around the track more like balancing on stilts. Still, Tony never gave up and his desire to do better, step by step, propelled him forward...to making his dreams come true. http://www.tonyvolpentest.com/index.h

  • Goats Eat Cans with Steven Novak

    01/05/2012 Duration: 01h07min

Goats Eat Cans is more than a Weird Book Title, it's the nonsense that this book is all about. BOOK SYNOPSIS: Remember the weird kid with the greasy hair and the odd smell you went to school with? You know, the one who never talked to anyone? That creepy little jerk who sat alone at lunch? The oddball who never took a shower in gym class? The one you imagined might one day go on a shooting spree? Believe it or not, that kid grew up. He grew up, he got married, he never shot a single person, he wrote a book, and he even started taking showers after his workouts – most of the time. Goats Eat Cans is his story. Follow along as Steven Novak recounts the sometimes hilarious, sometimes hilariously painful, and sometimes painfully hilarious moments that have made his life so wonderfully frustrating. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you might even vomit. No matter what, you won't be able to stop reading. WEBSITES: http://goatseatcans.blogspot.com/ http://novakillustration.com/

  • G.P.A. stands for Greatest Poet Alive; come find out why

    30/03/2012 Duration: 01h19min

In G.P.A.'s words: In my previous titles, “The Confessional Heart of a Man” and “The Book of 24 Orgasms”, there was mostly non-fiction involved in the Poetry. (Yes, even in the sensual book.) But there was also some fantastical embellishment involved. However, “The Mind of an Unsub” is fully my life experiences from the very day I left prison on the 17th of June in 2008, until maybe a week before this book was completed. I didn’t hold anything back or sugarcoat a thing. It is my opinion that in order for the Poetry to be believable, it must come from the life of the person writing it. Because of all this, his new book, "The Mind of a Poetic Unsub," is by far his most ambitious book to date. We are expecting grand things for this unique man and his words in the years ahead. But, for now, you must meet him here, and LIVE on my show.
