Weston began writing professionally in 1997. He won the Bram Stoker Award for his first novel, Scarecrow Gods, in 2005. His co-written collection of short stories titled Appalachian Galapagos, was nominated for the Pushcart Prize for Short Fiction. in 2008, his novella Redemption Roadshow was a finalist for the Bram Stoker Award for Best Long Fiction. Alexander Galant was the historical researcher for the novel 'Dracula the Un-Dead', which was on the New York Times Best Sellers list in October 2009. His second book, Piltdown Man and Other Hoaxes, has recently debuted and is a lighthearted examination of scientific frauds through history. Maxwell holds a BA in English in from Berry College, and is currently completing his MA in English from Jacksonville State University in Alabama. In G.P.A.'s words: In my previous titles, “The Confessional Heart of a Man” and “The Book of 24 Orgasms”, there was mostly non-fiction involved in the Poetry. (Yes, even in the sensual book.) But there was also some fantastical embellishment involved. However, “The Mind of an Unsub” is fully my life experiences from the very day I left prison on the 17th of June in 2008, until maybe a week before this book was completed.
