"Betrayal" & "The Odyssey" let's us get up close and personal with crazy man and egomaniac, Cyrus Vanch. He thinks he'll be top dog if he takes down The Hood. So, he kidnaps Laurel to lure him in. That always works, right?... And when Oliver finds out his mother may be involved in some shady dealings, he goes to confront her as the vigilante, only to be welcomed with a gunshot wound. Now Diggle and the newly enlightened Felicity Smoak must save his life, while Oliver dreams of his exploits on the island. Will Oliver leave the island without Yao Fei? "Trust, but Verify" & "Vertigo" introduce us to the Blackhawk's Ted Gayner and an evil, crazy drug lord named The Count. And in a flashback to the island, we find out that Yao Fei is working with Edward Fyres when they capture Oliver and throw him in a cage. There are many trust issues to be dealt with. Can Digg trust Oliver? Can Oliver trust Yao Fei? Can Moira trust Malcolm? Can Tommy trust Malcolm?
