Podtoid: Destructoid's Video Game Podcast

On an almighty pre-E3 Podtoid speculator, Jonathan Holmes starts to ponder the damaging effect that the podcast has had on his life, while Jim Sterling plans to make him have sex with everything in the ocean. Meanwhile, Hamza Aziz is promised a tube of Pringles a night and there's a brand new segment in which true legal dilemmas are solved once and for all.  Meanwhile, we chat about what we hope to see at E3, we discuss some rubbish about Japanese games, we chat about Platinum Games and we also get hyped for Among the Sleep. On this week's edition of Podtoid, Hamza gets back from Pre-E3 with promises of previews and talk of an MMO joining forces with a SyFy TV show. Yeah, that sounds like the next big thing, right? Also, Diablo III is discussed some more, and we make fun of Kinect again while lamenting Sony's tendency to release things and wander off elsewhere.  Meanwhile, Holmes' house gets redesigned and something something E3 something. Man, we actually talked about games a lot this week.

It's pretty good stuff, even if Danny is certain his family can never, ever, hear this recording.

On a special bonus episode of Podtoid, Eat Sleep Play co-founder and Twisted Metal co-director David Jaffe chats with Jim Sterling on the issue of used games, online passes, and the strained relationship between publishers and consumers. Are gamers being treated like thieves? Is GameStop a villain? Will all this be rendered moot when digital distribution takes hold?  It's a fascinating discussion that provides a lot to think about for all concerned.
