Podtoid: Destructoid's Video Game Podcast

This week's Podtoid has been a technological disaster. The first episode we recorded simply didn't record. As for this one ... well, it's 1:15am as this is being typed and I would like to just die.  That attitude is carried over nicely into the show. Tara couldn't make it to our re-recording, and Jonathan was late, so most of the episode of Max and I muttering nonsense, talking about the Aliens toys, and answering listener questions. Eventually, we arbitrarily decide to bully Jonathon, discuss toddler semen farms, and listen to tales of Max's sexual liasons.  Now excuse me while I hope this friggin' show uploads!

This week's Podtoid introduces The Piemasters' Guild (by royal appointment). They are manly men who love pie and pie-related paraphenalia. We also talk about PAX, including Destructoid Live 2, hugging Michael Pachter, and drunken conversations about Haunted Star Wars. Oh, and Max gets punched in the face by his cat.  In terms of videogame discussion, we chat about Skyrim, Aliens: Infestation and Dead Island. Indeed, this is a hearty pie of inane chat, baked in a crust of fine gaming delights. Get me another flaggon of ale, sirrah!

On this week's particularly offensive Podtoid, we discuss the possibility of replacing American currency with berries, taking sexual advantage of the mentally infirm, and finally decide how the legal system should allow us to murder anybody who self-identifies as a vampire. Max also confesses his strange fixation with Katy Perry while Jim quite possibly attains true demonhood.  On the game front, there's a bit of Mass Effect discussion, a sprinking of Deus Ex, and Holmes takes us through some WiiWare recommendations. Don't worry though, the show focuses mostly on the sex, vampirism, berries, Perry and evil!

On this week's episode of Podtoid, the gang quizzes Jonathan Holmes about his "real" social worker job and the various creatures he has to look after. We also pitch a new sitcom for Voldemort, discuss the power of offensive language, examine why Russian games are upsetting, and laugh at the time Max Scoville was whipped in a cat cage.  On the videogame front, we talk about Dead Island, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron, S.T.A.L.K.E.R and the semen that will eventually cover my review copy of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. All this and (far too) much more will be unveiled on the latest show!

On this week's Podtoid, we learn about the mating habits of prehistoric winged lizards, discuss fantasies concerning laughing gravy, corner the market on hating teenagers, and reminisce about the nineties. We also discuss our (lack of) PAX plans, the madness that is E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy and get excited for Aliens on the DS.  It's quite a varied little show, and you'll be pleased to know there's no sports talk!

This week we have a special treat in store, as sports editor Samit Sarkar joins the cast to discuss a little football and chat about EA's new Season Ticket initiative. In a shockingly game-heavy Podtoid, we also discuss the ramifications of the 3DS price cut, chat a little about Deus Ex, and even have a mini-preview of RAGE.  Of course, it's not ALL sensible. Keep a listen out for a new Willem Dafoe movie pitch, Suburban Centaurs. 

On this week's episode of Podtoid, we worry about crossing the line as it takes us discussing animal cruelty, weird pornography, and Captain Planet before there's even a danger of videogame discussion. Even then, we get sidetracked by the exploits of two imagined inbred aristocrats who indulge their every sordid sexual fantasy.  When videogames are nailed down, we talk about From Dust, Freddy Krueger in Mortal Kombat and Capcom haters. On this week's edition of Podtoid, the crew commissions a remake of Miamia Vice, officially declares that heroin isn't a big deal, and puts Voldemort in charge of an opium den with his good friend, Emperor Palpatine. You really can't get much better than that! Oh wait, you can! We also discuss John Carmack's assertion that his job isn't to innovative, and whether or not we truly despise the Nintendo 3DS. All this and much, much more are covered in a little over two hours of pure, unfettered drivel from Destructoid's motley crew of abnormal wastrels. 

This week's episode of Podtoid covers a lot of bases, and don't worry -- many of them are horrible and/or weird. This week, we cover Jim being in a game, Kathie Lee Gifford being a horrendous person, Electronic Arts being awful, iOS developers being questionable, and Max Scoville being a gentleman adventurer.  We also learn the definition of "Hot Sala" thanks to Tara, and your usual Willem Dafoe movie ideas make a return. 

This week's Podtoid is, without a doubt, the weirdest Podtoid to have ever been recorded. In this latest offering of nonsense, you will be introduced to concepts involving Willem Dafoe that you'll wish you'd never been exposed to. You'll have to listen to the character assassination of a dying child. You will also, if you're lucky, be able to pick out some videogame discussion.  I don't know if this is the best Podtoid I've ever recorded, or the worst. I know it's nothing in between. 

On this week's episode of Podtoid, we manage to squeeze in two pretty interesting discussions regarding the recent demise of the California Videogame Law and the Mercenaries 3D save slot controversy. Those discussions are sandwiched between more movie ideas for Willem Dafoe, cowboy bears, an argument about transgenders in beat 'em ups, and a lengthy analysis on the concept of hipsters.  So, the usual nonsense! This week's Podtoid is later than usual because the original recording ... never recorded. No idea why, but sadly a rather excellent episode got lost. We didn't want the listeners to go without, however, so I was able to get Jonathan Holmes and myself together for a re-recording.  Although we don't have Max and Tara this week, there was still over an hour of drivel and exaggerated videogame passion to go around. This week, we discuss Shadows of the Damned, videogame reviews, Sonic the Hedgehog's birthday, why Nintendo of America needs to pull its head out of its ass, and invent two new demons -- the Inside-Out Alligator and the Lung Lobster. Recording Podtoid has quickly become a highlight of my working week. How could it not, with episodes like this? Amongst the many, increasingly bizarre things discussed, we talk about Max Scoville's love of digital farts, Jim's vision of Dr. Doom stroking a bunny rabbit, Tara Long's mustache, and Jonathan Holmes' suggestion that Grand Theft Auto V will fail.  Also, is it offensive to do impersonations of Cooking Mama? We find out! I cannot be happier with the content of this show. 

Jonathan Holmes tells the most fascinating stories. Sometimes, they shatter minds.  This week, the gang discusses L.A. Noire, free PSN games, Gotham City Impostors, and go off on wild tangents that include Star Wars, comic books, doing terrible things to Progressive Flo, and classic songs of the nineties. Any videogame discussion becomes purely incidental by the end of it. That's the way we like it!

This week, the gang discusses the potential benefits of Microsoft buying Skype, ponders the necessity of calling Hitler evil, provides you with amazing fitness tips and discuss genetic manipulation's greatest nightmare. It's been a loooong time ...  Podtoid is back, with an all-new cast, except for that really annoying Brit guy who ruins everything. This week, we talk about PC gaming versus console gaming, what Sony could do to make up for the PSN outage, and whether or not Project Cafe can breathe fire while growing new arms and finding Lion King stickers.
