The power of self-awareness is essential for your self-growth and development, and attending a silent retreat is one of the best ways you can access that awareness. 07/06/2022 Duration: 19min

Human beings are much more similar to one another than they are different. And yet we walk around as if our life experiences are totally unique to us, even though, the likelihood is, that most of the people around you are either experiencing similar (or the exact) things as you or b) they are afraid to be vulnerable and let you know.   In this week's podcast, I explore the concept of shame and walk you through the process of getting unstuck from it so that shame doesn't hold you back in your life. www.shiragura.com

When you get mad at yourself for not being perfect, do you think you have a choice as to how you think about yourself? Tune in to this week's podcast episode to learn about the important differences between a reflex, a reaction, and a response, and how understanding the difference between these three concepts can change the way you think, feel, and behave whenever you get stuck in an emotional situation with someone in your life or even with yourself.

  • You Can Handle Fear

    03/05/2022 Duration: 26min

Where do you experience fear in your life? Do you have a fear of... Being judged by other people? Not being able to handle your triggers and losing control? Messing up your children's lives and never being able to repair them? Fear is the most pervasive emotion we feel as human beings. And yet, most of the fears we face are not real life and death situations. Rather, they are fears we create in our own minds. But, if we can learn how to manage our fears, we would be able to live our lives with more of a sense of inner peace and even confidence to know that we can, indeed, handle difficult emotions. I faced fear in an extreme way a few days ago while I was on a weekend getaway with some friends. I went on a walk by myself, not realizing what was waiting for me. Tuen in to hear the rest of the story and to hear how I got through the fear I faced. And how you can, too. www.shiragura.com

  • 261: You Can Handle Uncomfortable Conversations

    26/04/2022 Duration: 15min

Have you ever had to have an uncomfortable conversation with someone but you avoided it because you were nervous you wouldn’t be able to handle it? Or you were afraid of what their reaction may be or that you may hurt them unintentionally? Avoiding difficult conversations is something a lot of people do. But the truth is, if you know HOW to handle an uncomfortable emotion, it's actually not as difficult or as scary as it may seem. In fact, having difficult conversations can feel empowering and can inspire others to do the same. Tune in to this week's "You Can Handle Anything" podcast to hear more about how you can learn how to have difficult conversations in your life. www.shiragura.com

  • 260: You Can Handle Stress (Part II)

    19/04/2022 Duration: 08min

When you are headed into a future moment that you are anticipating or feeling nervous or worried about, what do you do? I'm talking about anything from having an uncomfortable conversation with someone to heading into an important meeting to needing to speak in front of a crowd - and even to going into a stressful work week. How do you mentally prepare yourself for those challenging situations? Me? I get CLEAR. By getting CLEAR I go through a step-by-step process that empowers me to reduce my anxiety, release my expectations, and decide ahead of time who it is I am going to be - no matter what may arise. And that's exactly what I did this week. Tune in to hear how I got CLEAR and how my story may inspire you in your life! (And don't forget to click here to sign up for the waitlist for my course! • 259: You Can Handle STRESS

    12/04/2022 Duration: 11min

Feeling stressed is something we're all too familiar with. And when we feel stressed, we don't have any qualms about expressing that to ourselves and to the people around us. "I'M SO STRESSED!" But, what's interesting is, when you stop to really notice what you're actually feeling in that moment, there may be a feeling that is even more accurate than feeling "stressed." We tend to clump our emotions together in only a few categories (like stressed, angry, and frustrated) which is problematic because understanding our emotions and being able to clearly identify which emotions we are really feeling is half the battle in getting unstuck.  Tune in to this week's podcast episode to hear what I did when I found myself saying that I was stressed - and see what you can do when you find yourself doing the same. And don't forget to sign up for the waitlist for the course by clicking here.

  • 258: An unSTUCK Marriage

    05/04/2022 Duration: 25min

It only takes one person to change a relationship. That being said, when two people in a relationship are both working on themselves individually and they share a common framework and language to communicate with each another, well, the sky's the limit for what's possible in that kind of relationship. Tune in to hear some powerful words from Collen and Alan Jones, a married couple who recently went through the Emotionally Equipped for Life course together. • 257: Consider Giving Them the Benefit of the Doubt

    29/03/2022 Duration: 10min

Have you ever been in a situation where someone snaps at you? What do you do in those situations?  It's so easy to get stuck on frustration or disappointment. That's what happened to me last week when my husband told me I made a mistake about something. That is, I almost got stuck, but I caught myself. Instead of getting upset with him, I got unstuck and considered giving him the benefit of the doubt. What could have turned into a "war" turned into nothing at all. Tune in to this week's "You Can Handle Anything" podcast to hear the story, and to hear how you, too, can learn how to get unstuck in your life. And don't forget to get on the waitlist for the course, Emotionally Equipped for Life, by clicking here.

  • 256: Take a Pause

    22/03/2022 Duration: 12min

If you want to get unSTUCK, you've got to learn how to pause. The pause is the foundation for your emotional health and well-being. Tune in to this week's "You Can Handle Anything" episode to hear how the pause helped me get unSTUCK in actually creating this episode, and how it can help you get unSTUCK in your life, too. And be sure to get on the waitlist for my course. The doors to the next course open soon!

  • 255: What's Your Story?

    15/03/2022 Duration: 19min

Human beings live in stories. That's what it means to be human. You may not realize you live in stories, but you do. In fact, you live much more in "storyland," than you do in "factland." And while sometimes those stories can serve us, often they don't. And that's when we get stuck. Tune in to this week's episode of the "You Can Handle Anything," podcast to hear how I got myself unstuck from the story that I couldn't enroll in a course that I really knew would benefit me, and hear how my story can inspire you to do the same. Sign up for the waitlist for my course by clicking here.

  • 254: Just Do It!

    08/03/2022 Duration: 11min

What is your biggest fear? What is something that you avoid because you're afraid you can't handle it? Maybe it's having a difficult conversation with someone or making new friends or leaving a job, or even a relationship. How is avoiding serving you in your life? Can you see how avoiding may actually be keeping you back? Where can you imagine getting unSTUCK and getting CLEAR so that you can face the fear and get to the other side? That's what I did last week while I was on a retreat on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. Tune in to hear the story and see where it may inspire you in your life as well. And don't forget to get on the waitlist for the course. Click here to sign up.

  • Get CLEAR! (And then, do it again and again!)

    01/03/2022 Duration: 11min

Anytime you go into a future moment (no matter what that future moment is), it's an opportunity to get CLEAR. The mistake is that most people think it ends there.  But, it doesn't! If you want to live an awakened life, it's important to keep getting CLEAR, moment by moment, so that you are mentally prepared for anything! Tune in to hear how I got CLEAR twice in a row before heading into a dance party with my husband. www.shiragura.com Find me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/shiragura Find me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/you.can.handle.anything/

  • 252: Give yourself a break

    22/02/2022 Duration: 13min

Do you ever get mad at yourself? *For making bad decisions? *For reacting automatically? *For not showing up as you said you would? This happens to all of us.  But if we don't practice some self-compassion, we'll just continue staying stuck on being mad at ourselves - and that certainly won't get us very far. Tune in to hear more about how you can start to cultivate self-compassion in your life. Learn more: www.shiragura.com

  • 251: The Power of the Pause

    15/02/2022 Duration: 12min

When you feel stuck, pausing feels like the last thing you want to do. Instead, your mind (in its way of innocently wanting to protect you) will prefer to stay stuck. Your mind will prefer to stay right, to have the last word, or to stay in the status quo, rather than make the effort to get unstuck. And yet, doing any of those above things won't get you any closer to getting unstuck. Do you know what will? Taking a pause. The pause is powerful - way beyond its simplicity. And it's the foundation for emotional health and well-being. Tune in to this week's episode to hear how the pause saved a challenging stuck spot I was in last week. • 250: Think outside the Amazon box

    08/02/2022 Duration: 12min

How good are you with gift-giving? I don't know about you, but I sometimes get stuck on buying gifts. And while you can turn to Amazon (or other online stores) to make the gift-giving process quick and easy, I invite you to consider outside the "Amazon box" the next time you need to give a gift. Tune in to this week's episode to see how I considered thinking outside the "Amazon box" when it came to coming up with a gift for my sister for her 50th birthday, and how you can, too. You can watch the video montage that went along with the song I gifted to my sister on my Facebook page. Click here.
