  • Alexandria and Mike's Success Story

    In this episode, Dr. Mike interviews Alexandria Pavelic, 29, from Saskatchewan, and Mike Martinez, 28, from Texas. They both achieved life-changing success in the MoveU Program after years of disempowering interactions with healthcare professionals that put them in fear of their own bodies.  In May 2018, Alexandria received an MRI & diagnoses of degenerative disc disease, scoliosis, 3 herniated discs & an annular tear. She was unable to walk, sit, stand, or sleep for months. Chiropractors, massage therapists, physical therapists, and spinal surgeons recommended her rest, opioids, surgery, and even advised her to forgo childbirth as options to manage the pain. Determined that there had to be another way, Alexandria signed up for the MoveU Program.   • Why Your Diagnosis Doesn't Matter

    In this episode, Dr. Mike discusses why your diagnosis doesn’t matter and holds you back. The diagnosis you were given is a superficial label based off an X-ray, MRI, ultrasound, etc. that zooms in and focuses on the area you are experiencing pain. It picks up on the RESULT- the cumulative effect of years and years of being unaware of your body position. Similar to failing a test in school, your diagnosis is like getting an “F” grade on your exam. The good news is, you can undo the damage and turn that “F” into an “A”. At MoveU, we look at the body as a constant-moving, self-healing organism that is all connected. An imbalance in one area means there’s an imbalance somewhere else.
