This week’s show comes to you from again and for the last time Brisbane, Australia. We’ve been here for two months and need to be moving on. Where? Well, that’s an interesting story. After living the life of full-time travelers for nearly a full year, we’ve decided to explore life from the perspective of expats living full time in… Southeast Asia. Specifically, we’re moving to Bangkok at the end of the year. Our focus will shift a bit, as we haven’t had a home base in quite a while. Still, the adventures will continue, as we keep living life abroad. Greetings once again from Brisbane, Australia! After five weeks “down under”, we’ve noticed an interesting fashion trend. Maybe it’s the warm climate. Maybe it’s the carefree nature of Australians. Overnight trains are much more comfortable than overnight flights, so if you’re not in a hurry and want to spend a couple days in Hue, Da Nang, and Nha Trang along the way, it’s a great way to get from Hanoi down to Ho Chi Minh City. However, under no circumstances should you elect to take the straight-shot back from Ho Chi Minh City back to Hanoi. Because that way lies 33 hours of madness. 2. Where we were doing five or six scopes a day in Thailand, it’s down to two to three times a week. Yikes! It seems that connectivity is to blame. In Airlie Beach, the cell signal isn’t the highest quality. And to top it off, the cheap smartphone Evo bought to replace his iPhone (the worst phone for any long-term international traveler) is just that: cheap. It may have a quad core processor, but it doesn’t play well with the Periscope app. And that kinda sucks. But we think we have a workaround, and we’ll start implementation of that right away.
