Please forgive Kyles poor internet for dropping every once in a while, but he did manage to play a ton of games with week, most notably Spider-man and Mega Man 11. In the New we were excited to go over the happenings of the Nintendo Direct, we also dig into the issue with backending in cloud saves. For the rest of the discussion we dive into the legal issues EA continues to have with loot boxes in Belgium.     Welcome back to Pause Screen, this week Kaz is out, so Kyle and William are on their own, so all bets are off. William takes the opportunity to talk about the scandalous Catherine and a bit more of Portrait of Ruin. Kyle is still stuck on Dead Cells, though he took a bit of time to try out Tekken 7. In news, Spider-Man comes out tomorrow, Destiny 2 is still getting expansions, Nintendo cancels a Direct, leaving Megaman 11's demo out in the cold, and the Xbox Adaptive Controller is out! For discussions this week, we tackle microtransactions and the business model that is making them an unfortunate reality in gaming. We also take a look at the beautiful disaster that is Riot games attempting to change the public perception of their work culture. On a more serious note we mourn the loss of life at the Madden qualifier tournament event in Jacksonville.     We're back after a week break and have a LOT to talk about! Kyle played the most with a bunch of old games. Good news is that he finally beat Enter the Gungeon, but is somewhat slogging through the Megaman X Collection 1. William is revisiting portal to achievement hunt and played some Fire Emblem Fates Conquest. Laura battled a giant skeletal man in Dark Souls 3, and it tearing it up in the new WoW expansion!     This week is a Kaz and Kyle show because William has caught the plague. Kaz is diving deep into dark souls and has encountered her first Lord of Cinder. Kaz has returned from AKON, having worked through much of Skyrim and despaired at Pokemon Quest.     We're back after two weeks! During the break, we were able to get together and play some party games, including Lethal League, Windjammers, and Crawl. William is still working on SS in Dustforce, and has also started playing Fire Emblem: Conquest and picked up his old save file in Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. Kaz has reached previously unexplored plotpoints in Skyrim, and abandoned them to become evil, she's also gotten back into Dark Souls 3, but this time, she knows what she's doing. Kyle is enjoying his time in Darkest Dungeon, and is extremely conflicted about the new God of War. For news, we mention the announcement for Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and cover some points from Nintendo's financial report: Kimishima is retiring as President, and sales are up.     William gets sucked back into dustforce, but has no prayer of SS'ing the entire game. Kyle spends some time with Snake Pass and edge lord Victor Vran. Kaz's dreams comes true as she has been immortalized in Battle for Azeroth! In our new section we talk about Dark souls on the switch, a new Platinum collaborate game, question the choice to leave out the single player campaign in Black ops 4, but don't worry, they'll probably add a battle Royal mode and we morn Konami's history of bad choices. Kaz has finally finished Persona 4, and is playing some Skyrim and Kirby Star Allies (and talking to kids about cosplay) while looking for the next big thing, William continues moving through Fire Emblem Echoes, and wasn't impressed by Azure Striker Gunvolt, and Kyle starts to feel the grind in Prey and elects to torture himself with Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash. In news section, we talk about Nintendo's Nindies Showcase, Sonic animation and karting, the Smash Invitational, GDC, the public releasing of assets, and the reception of some recent releases. In our news section, we cover the Spyro trilogy remaster, talk about God of War's new reviews, Minit, the Megaman X Legacy Collections, and Nikki Minaj(!).
