On the Hype train we talk about Cadence of Hyrule which has been getting good reviews, Dota Underlords is now available in beta, and how Kaz needs to apply for Kaz Hirai's vacant position at PS/Sony. Episode 133: kojima surprise
31/05/2019This week on Pause Screen Kaz did not projectile vomit on her first VR expedience, Kyle is just too good at platforms and gets himself stuck and William didn't get to play much (except for mobile games, who want's to hear about that?) On the Hype train we are all surprised with the release date of Death Stranding. We talk about the excrement or derision surrounding the game. Oh and the fetus in the expansion pack. We all get confused at the new Call of Duty naming scheme and the new Pokemon Sleep game, but can still be excited about them. In discussions we talk about the nature and future of Esports, are we doomed to just watch games come and go as companies pour money into it as a marketing tactic? Kyle complete Sekiro and gives his review of the Fairune Collection, Kaz is creating soap opera levels of mischief in Stardew valley while keeping up on her WoW chores, and William did play some Fate: Grand Order but has internet connection issues all episode long! On the hype train we talk about Sekiro's Sales numbers, the Smash Ulitmate stage builder leak, Spyro Reignited patch (Kyle can finally finish!) and Nintendo Direct rumors. William has done a quick playthrough of Undertale, and bought himself the old Xenosaga trilogy. 09/12/2018This Week we countdown to Smash Ultimate release by talking about video games! Kyle has reached a game ending glitch while trying to 100% Spyro, and played some OnRush and HotS. Kaz thoroughly enjoyed exploding corpses in Diablo III and barely failed to kill Gu'Huun. William's impressions of Celeste is dropping below luke warm and he continues to play Xenoblade. On the Hype train we kind of live cast the game awards, talk about soulja boy's new console, and Counter Strike is now F2P. In the discussions we talk about Epic's new game store, hopefully the competition will help make steam better, we can't wait! on the down side of the news, Red Dead Online's economy is having a really tough time, Fallout 76 nylon bags and Bethesda's 'fix' continues to be the worst for PR, and Playstation Classic's lazy implementation. In the discussion section we dive deep into the over worked Dev controversy brought up by Dan Houser and the team of Red Dead 2. 23/09/2018We're back for another week in gaming and Kaz has been diving headfirst into Battle for Azeroth, but she also has stumbled back into hearthstone somehow? At least she has something to do while Darksouls is kicking her butt. Kyle gushes about Aaero, a rhythm, rail-shooter game that is under appreciated, as well as talks neutrally positively about more Spiderman. He also reports on his first week of Switch Online. William is starting to be quite the arena champion in Fire Emblem Heroes, getting to rank 21 without spending one dime on the game, Impressive! For the Hype train we talk about Sony's PlayStation Classic and the new Pro controllers, Kingdom Hearts 3's box art, Devil May Cry 5, and Tales of Vesperia.
