The seventh trumpet sounds and victory is declared Voices in heaven declare that Gods kingdom has come Matt 6 that the nations raged but Gods wrath has come Ps 2 and that the time for rewarding the faithful and punishing sinners Matt 25 2 Cor 510 has come Its been a long time coming but Gods kingdom will come

The world will gloat when Gods two faithful witnesses are slain But even death cannot defeat Gods children As long as we remain faithful we cannot lose

The courts of the temple are given over to the gentiles but the temple itself is only for those who are true to God however few they may be

Gods Word is sweet to His people but when Jon at the little scroll which was at first sweet it became bitter Gods sweet Word when rejected leaves pain for those who care

John faithfully writes that a voice from heaven told him not to write what he heard What kind of a tease is this In this message well consider what these seven thunders might be especially my theory that they are good news for Gods people but more that God has the right to reveal what He chooses to reveal and we have no right to demand more Our responsibility is to be faithful to what we do know

Repentance is the recognition of guilt and turning from it In this weeks passage we find people willing to do absolutely anything but repent

Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous Psalm 17 With this plague the wicked suffer horribly while the righteous are protected God is able to protect His people God is able to punish evildoers But what do the saints do while the sinners are helpless This passage says nothing about that

The Seventh seal is opened the angels begin to blow the seven trumpets and judgment is unleashed on the earth This is just the beginning If we would learn a lesson from this it is dont make God mad

The Moment Before Launch

Instead of going directly to the seventh seal there is hushed pause in the action Things are going to get really bad but before they do God shows us that the good guys really are winning Huge numbers of believers have died but they have not lost they are in the presence of God And there are a special group of 144000 men set aside for some purpose not made clear to us What is the state of affairs Everything is under control

Why would someone run into a cave during an earthquake Because they are more afraid of what is outside than what is in The great people who opposed God will beg the rocks to fall on them anything to keep God from getting them

God has not yet entered into judgment on the earth but it is just a matter of time

Mission Trip Report

This week we will see seals 2 3 amp 4 broken revealing the rest of the four horsemen of the apocalypse None of them appear to be supernatural Perhaps these are natural results of rejecting God to follow man

When the Lamb opens the first seal a rider comes out on a white horse He looks like a hero and the world will believe he is but he is not He is the Antichrist

Heaven stood helpless and John wept loudly No one was worthy to open the book Then the Lion was announced and the Lamb came forwardCommunion Sunday

Chapters 4 amp 5 of Revelation compare and contrast the glory found at the throne of God Chapter four before introducing the Lamb that was slain is glorious We will see that this week
