At UFC 244, Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz fought through three rounds before a doctor stopped the contest. Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) pinned the belt on the winner. In the co-main event, Kelvin Gastelum and Darren Till fought to a decision victory for Till. I recently had Gerorge Hickman come across my radar. Hickman is a former fighter and now head coach of Tiger Muay Thai in Thailand. Hickman, an American, tried out for the team in 2014 and eventually worked his way into the head coaching role. What's noteworthy is some of the changes his leadership has brought both to the fighters he coaches as well to the team. It's also a reflection of the changing dynamics of team gyms in MMA, especially in Asia. At UFC 238... Henry Cejudo became a champ champ in a thrilling victory over Marlon Moraes. In the co-main event, Valentina Shevchenko defeated Jessica Eye with a brutal head kick knockout (KO) and defended her flyweight title. Tony Ferguson defeated Donald 'Cowboy' Cerrone after a second-round doctor stoppage, Petr Yan put it on Jimmie Rivera and on the main card, Blagoi Ivanov defeated Tai Tuivasa. At UFC 237, Jessica Andrade defeated Rose Namajunas to become the UFC strawweight champion. Jared Cannonier stopped Anderson Silva in the first round after Silva suffered an injury, Alexander Volkanovski soundly defeated Jose Aldo, Irene Aldana submitted Bethe Correia, BJ Penn lost a decision to Clay Guida plus more.
