The Promise Part One: Assurance (Sunday 28th January)
29/01/2018 Duration: 36minWho is the Holy Spirit? This question has baffled and confused many people. In this message, Santino looked at the Holy Spirit being a "He" just as Jesus describes many times in John 16. Also that "He" the Holy Spirit is God! John 4:24 "God is Spirit" This being the case the Holy Spirit is fully and completely divine, just as God the Father and God the Son, and in the same way can be worshipped and adored. Santino also looked at 2 primary things the Holy Spirit does in our lives. Firstly He brings Regeneration, Jesus saves, and the Holy Spirit washes us new! Renewal & rebirth by the Spirit just as Titus 3 tells us. Secondly, because God the Holy Spirit lives on the inside of us, He continues to affirm our new identity as Gods loved children, that we are loved, and this is the place we now live from.

We need to be compelled by the love of God and convinced of the power of the gospel message; these things are the healthy internal fuel for mission. But we also need to know we are commissioned to go which involves a disciplined choice by each of us, it's not about waiting until I feel like it or have it all figured out - it's about embracing my role as an ambassador and following the call to go!
