A previously recorded show with author, and recover mentor Amy Lee Coy  whose book teaches how one can heal through self care. Monica interviews Amy Lee Coy and finds that Amy has a really sincere voice that teaches the young and the old that once again AA is not the only way. Her book is a fresh approach to healing from drug and alcohol over use.

In 1982, Dr Marc Kern received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. In 1983 He founded Addiction Alternatives, his private practice in Los Angeles, California, to provide clients with non-12-step addiction treatment alternatives, because there are many more people like him who do not find AA and the 12-step approach to be effective. His practical self-help book "Take Control, Now!" is a do-it-yourself blueprint for managing unwanted habits. of the Addictions.

There are many non 12 Step approaches to getting help from alcohol and drug overuse. SO why all the free propganda in some new big films like FLIGHT with Denzel Washington and SMASHED a small idie film? Is it possible that these actors, film makers and writers have no idea SMART and SOS and Moderation, Harm Reduction, Amy Lee Coys way, Hank Hayes  with On Track and Beyond and Drink Link Moderation exist?  Sadly to say, I didn't know they existed until 2009.  If you know a young person who dislikes AA or NA and wants to quit illegal drugs but wants to have a beer once in a while and not be abstinent the rest of their lives, you should join us for this show. I will be taking calls from a young twenty something who is courageously dealing successful with a heroin use problem in the non 12 step way.  EMPOWERED not powerless... is our motto!

This is part 2   about 13 stepping, that  I did with Kali which tells the tale of 13 stepping and sexual predation and how they prey on new woman in the program. Kali also brilliantly decribes the insanity of AA's belief system and how harmful it is for young vulnerable women.   

Local Realtor talks with Monica Richardson about how her adopted son and herself were told these programs were good. Soon when her teen attended meetings in Santa Monica, CA he was sexually preyed on  by old phedophile men with years of so called sobriety.  We  will talk honestly and boldly about this insane practice of California Judges and how we as  citizens can and are fighting back. 

The first show I ever hosted in March 2011 with blogger gunthar 2000 calling in to discuss the 12 Traditons  ...are they still viable. We also discuss and debated the genuine honesty of Chapter 5 from the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. Blogger Decon from ST called in! Its a funny episode. Celebrating 40,000 downloads and listens to my Safe Recovery Show on Blog Talk Radio.  Dislcosure: I was still attending some meetings, so beware I am still using AA lingo here.  :) I left AA 6 weeks after this recording in early May 2011. 

I will be reading many of the news stories that link AA and violent criminals and 3rd level sex offenders being sentenced to AAor NA. Our FIles are 2 inches thick. The stories are horrifyling! We will also read parody's of Chapter 5 written by blogger Gunthar 2000 and myself in hopes to help people leaving AA to deprogram and have a good laugh at the same time. We will read the news from The Courthouse Press regarding the murder of beloved Karla Brada. Updates on this case coming soon.  Guthar 2000 has his own blog ...google expose AA and you will find a forum, and deprogramming tools and lots of great info and resources to help you or a loved one that is not jiving with 12 step philosophy. 

    One of my early shows with Kali who was badly 13 stepped at The Marina Center in Culver City, CA. Kali and Monica discuss the problems with AA speak and the constant mumbo jumbo blaming of "What's your part in it " nonsense.  Although a small womens meeting took this issue head on with alot of integrity most AA in West Los Angeles seem to rather blame the victim then confront the predator. We wont stop till laws are changed and victims protected.  Kali and Monica fought to raise awareness in 2009- 2010.  All archived shows are available for free on itunes!
