Spiritual growth means growing to know how God wants us to live so that we seek to please Him in all things. Agents of growth... God's Spirit. God's Word. Trials. God's People.

Belong, Grow, Go - three simple words keeping us focused on achieving our mission of Knowing Christ and Making Him Known! (Romans 8:15 - the church is a family.) If we were writing the script for our lives, we would not assign to ourselves the tasks that God assigns us.  We would play it safe.  We would do something we think we could manage. SATAN WILL TEMPT YOU TO ACT APART FROM GOD. Luke 4:14   GOD COMMANDS AND THEN ENCOURAGES YOU. Joshua 1:6-9   GOD ENCOURAGES THROUGH HIS WORD. Hebrews 4:16 2 Corinthians 10:5

It's been said that the darkness of hell is a place where you fully know who you need but you will never find.  The light of Jesus prevents this darkness from coming to you. "I Am the Light." The Light Is The Messiah. - Isaiah 42:5-6 - Isaiah 49:5-6 - John 1:1-5 Embrace the Light While You Can. - Isaiah 53:1 - Isaiah 6:10

If you've really messed up in your life, or if you've been making one stupid mistake after another then congratulations, your sin makes you an excellent candidate for salvation. As we continue with the book of Job, we see the internal struggle that Job experiences after suffering the loss of everything valuable to him.  This picture of suffering is veiled by the misunderstanding of the fullness of God's ultimate plans from His perspective.  Our plans are not God's plans, nor do we have anywhere near the understanding of God's goodness and mercy.  

"If you want to understand what is happening on earth, you must gain a glimpse into heaven." Lessons from the world leader in suffering... God is under control and He permits suffering to make us greater, to show Satan wrong and to prove His worthiness. There are purposes to our suffering that we cannot fully see. Satan employs the same tactic with us - "God doesn't really love you."

What makes a person a Christian is not one who doesn't sin.  What makes a Christian is a connection guilty people have with Jesus. FROM BROKENNESS TO WHOLENESS... Step 1: Own up to what you've done. Step 2: Own up to Whom you've ultimately hurt. Step 3: Embrace the joy of your salvation.

"God answers the mess of life with one word: Grace." - Max Lucado   Grace is kindness shown to someone who does not deserve it, cannot earn it and could never repay it.   God's grace comes to you because of the work of another person.   God's Riches At Christ's Expense   If you know God's grace, you will show it to others.
