John Lim sells insurance in Singapore.  Through a need that presented itself to him while chairing a committee of his local church, the Lord led him to Thailand.  There the Lord burdened his heart for the Thai people.  He spent two years traveling back and forth from Singapore to Thailand reaching out to the villagers and farmer in Thailand.  He made frequent trips but he did not see lasting results.  He attended ILI Training in Nairobi, Kenya, and he was transformed.  He began multiplying leadership training in Thailand and the Lord began to move.  The Thai people became empowered Jesus followers planting churches, building schools, and developing compassion ministries throughout Thailand.  The Lord has taken John further that he ever dreamed both in Thailand and beyond.  John’s contact information: ajohnrmc@gmail.com  

Kelly reaches out to her generation on California's Central Coast.  She's on staff with Cru, formerly known as Campus Crusade for Christ.  She is a passionate evangelist and disciple maker.   She talks about the millennial generation, their unique needs as the first fully technologically "connected" generated. Velma Tim is a young leader, born in Cameroon and a missionary in Liberia.  While in Liberia she received ILI training.  She quickly became one of our most passionate, effective multipliers in a number of West African nations. Al Vom Steeg is the Senior International Director for the International Leadership Institute.  He travels the world mentoring leaders and encouraging the work of making disciples in the church at large. We discuss his role in the birth of ILI.  Wes connected with Al when Al was the president of a mission society.   He recognized the need for simple yet effective leadership in nations around the world and sensed Wes’ passion and the Lord’s direction in developing the ILI model of leadership multiplication that has taken root in many diverse cultures around the world. Discipleship is his passion.  His burden is to equip the church to be true disciple makers.  As we talk about what God is doing, he gives us a sense of how well we’re doing in fulfilling the Great Commission of making disciples of all nations. Darlene Franks is on staff at the Church of the Nazarene in Sutter Creek CA and associate director of ILI for Northern California. Like many of us, she found herself stuck in the familiar pattern of endlessly producing programming events for her local church but not really being about the business of making disciples.  She realized folks were following her example, doing a whole of things but not becoming Jesus followers who new how to lead others into intimacy with God and one another. The Lord led her to ILI as an answer to her prayer as she was seeking how to grow in her true calling of making disciples. Darlene embraced the ILI community and became one of our most passionate multipliers in the USA.Today we will be talking with her about how she came to realize that she wasn’t the leader that she needed to be and how the Lord moved to equip her for real kingdom leadership.
