In this message, we will look at the baptism of Jesus found in Matthew 3:13-17 in order to see that there's something deeper going on here than just Jesus setting an example of baptism for us to follow. We'll see that this is Jesus' commissioning where God gives Jesus the Spirit to empower Jesus' work. We'll also see that God sets tone for Jesus ministry by leading him into a humbling situation.
