Radio City Talk reports on Barry Bennell
15/02/2018 Duration: 24minMick Coyle brought you all of the latest updates from Liverpool Crown Court where former youth football coach Barry Bennell was found guilty of 43 counts of child sex abuse. The 64-year-old denied all of the offences which took place from the late seventies into the nineties. But his trial heard he was a child molester 'on an industrial scale'. Hear from Jackie Lamb from the CPS, Detective Inspector Sarah Oliver from Cheshire Police and four of Bennell's victims Andy Woodward, Micky Fallon, Steven Walters and Chris Unworth.

Ian Salmon on new play 'Those Two Weeks'

Ian was joined alongside his wife, Jeanette Salmon, and director of the play, Mike Dickinson. "Those Two Weeks isn’t a play about Hillsborough. It’s a play about before. It’s a play about what life was like when it was normal and it’s a play about how difficult normal can be." The play takes place from 28th February - 3rd March at the Unity Theatre Liverpool. Christopher Lee-Power on New Ferry explosion
14/02/2018 Duration: 30minLocal actor Christopher Lee-Power joined Mick Coyle in the studio to talk about how he survived the New Ferry explosion. Christopher was only four doors away from the explosion and he told Mick it was "the most frightening experience of his life". It's almost a year since the explosion and Christopher called on the government to step in and help families affected by the blast who are still unable to move back into their homes.

Young Carers Awareness Day
25/01/2018 Duration: 15minMick Coyle was joined by a local young carer, Darcy, who cared for her mum from the age of 8\. Darcy, from Dovecot, told Mick how she felt it was normal to look after her Mum at such a young age and to take on responsibilities such as cooking and cleaning instead of seeing her friends. Louise Wardale, Keeping the Family in Mind Co-ordinator, spoke about the work that Barnado's do to help young carers with various things including their mental health. Plus, Liverpool City Council's Cabinet Member for Children's Services, Cllr Barry Kushner, spoke about the work that the council do and the support that they can provide.
