Bobby Nightengale covers the Twins for the Star Tribune and has been at Spring Training for weeks. He’s ready to move on to the regular season and so are the Twins. Bobby also gets into the bullpen being a potential strength for the club this season, his sleeper picks for Cy Young and an injury update on Royce White.

John Millea has been a frequent visitor on the program over the last few weeks as winter state championships have progressed. He joins us today from the Barn for the final tournament of the winter season for Boys State Hoops.

It's the first meeting of radio Steve (Thomson) and outdoor Steve (Carney) of the new season? Spring is here but flaky and Steve Carney says the ice is officially too fragile for him to feel good being on the ice so he’s going to safely store his ice fishing gear until next winter. Carney also gets into some of the techniques he uses when he fishes the Missouri River and Rainy River (it's different from going out on the Mississippi and St. Croix). Plus, the evolving state of fishing on Mille Lacs.

He joins Steve Thomson to talk about his book “The Tourney” and the stories and voices he’s collected who make up the history of the Boys State High School Hockey Tournament. They also preview the Class AA title between Moorhead and Stillwater tonight.

Phil Miller checks in with Steve Thomson from Fort Myers and Twins Spring Training after a win over Boston earlier this afternoon. The team has been mostly healthy so far and Phil really likes what he’s seeing from the main pitching staff so far. Phil also gets into a piece he wrote earlier in the week for the Star Tribune and the not so meaningless Spring Training games for those fighting for jobs.

Mark Cook (Head Coach of the Maple Grove Girls Basketball) joins Steve Thomson to talk about his top seeded Crimison as they head into the State Tournament next week. Coach Cook praises his group of seniors that have been playing together since elementary school and how they’ve held the team accountable this season. Coach Cook credits a tough non-conference schedule and facing some of the top talent in the state in preparing for this moment.

Steve Carney makes his weekly appearance with Steve Thomson. Carney is launching a brand new boat equipped with all new tech that he can’t seem to find a manual for. Hard houses are being brought in from the ice and Carney says NO MORE VEHICLES this season for safety reasons. Plus, Steve Carney pulls back the curtain on his experiences in the fishing guide industry

As other Western Conference teams surge the Wolves are still searching for familiar answers and dealing with Anthony Edwards’ technical foul accumulation.
