Cats Talk Wednesday

Vinny and Terry are back after their bye week and looking forward to having another fun live episode. Fall camp continues for Mark Stoops and the Kentucky Wildcats. Lynn Bowden makes his long-awaited debut on the practice field. There is also some summer basketball news to speak of as well. At 6:30 Darryl McCoy and former UK DB David Jones will join us to talk a lil football as we get ready for the start of the season! At 7:15 the KY Taste Buds will make their second appearance on the show! Can't wait, tune in!

The fellas took the evening off but you can still get your fill of Kentucky Wildcats discussion and conversation! We're replaying our episode where we joined by former UK Baseball Coach Keith Madison. This was rightn before Nick Mingione and the baseball Cats were getting set to host the Lexington Regional at Cliff Hagan Stadium. Remember what a great time that was!  Summer was approaching and we were still talking Kentucky baseball. Coach Madison is a great guy, pure class. It was an honor to talk with him. We also spoke about the great work he was preparing to do in Harlan County! If you missed it, tune in! If you caught it the first time around, tune in again anyway!

We have fun every week as you know. Tonight's show will include having fun talking about the #DriveByDunkChallenge. The Kentucky Wildcats have been well represented in this bit of video comedy. That said it still has it's detractors. What's going on in The Land between Kyrie Irving and LeBron James? What kind of resolution will be reached there? The Dallas Cowboys are having their fair share of distractions of varying degrees. The quicker the season starts, the better. The Lucky Whitehead situation is a mess as is the Ezekiel Elliott sagas. Tonights' show is absolutely loaded! We are one week removed from the Kentucky Wildcats appearance in Hoover, Alabama for SEC Media Days. The Cats predicted finish in the East shows that the media aren't exactly sold on what Mark Stoops and company accomplished last season in spite of several starters returning on both sides of the ball. We have two awesome guests scheduled. At 6:15 former UK D-lineman Joey Couch will stop by and talk about his time at UK and share his thoughts on the upcoming season. Football season is officially here! The SEC Media Days kicked off Monday down in Hoover, Alabama. Mark Stoops, Stephen Johnson, Mike Edwards and Courtney Love were down there making the rounds on Radio Row today among all of the additional craziness because they were paired with Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide. There are some former Cats that have changed addresses as well as some other big names that have been on the move. Tonight we'll talk about the most recently drafted Kentucky Wildcats lottery picks De'Aaron Fox, Malik Monk, and Bam Adebayo plus the summer league scenarios for Isaiah Briscoe, Isaac Humphries, Derek Willis and Dominique Hawkins. The NBA offseason has been wild and free agency hasn't even started. Speculation abounds as to whether or not more superstars will change addresses or not in the coming days. If not, Jimmy Butler being traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Draft night and Chris Paul joining the Houston Rockets today is enough to keep every NBA fan buzzing for quite a while. At 7:00 we'll be joined by two friends of the show from Philadelphia. Michael Tillery, host of The Starting Five Live on RapStation Radio and Ronald Glover, editor in chief of thestartingfive.com will join us to talk Sixers, NBA and more. It's gonna be a lotta fun!

Where will all the former Kentucky Wildcats land next year? Coach Calipari is coaching a bunch of new and potentially new Wildcats for the USA Basketball under 19 team. At 6:30 Tamara Schneider and Leigh Roach of Kentucky Taste Buds will join us to talk some food, fashion and much more as they travel the state of Kentucky. UK Baseball made program history by making it to the Super Regional for the first time ever. They fell in two games to the Louisville Cardinals but Nick Mingione and the club have such a bright future in store. He injected so much life into BBN with his continuos energy. He followed up his SEC Coach of the Year honors with a well deserved National Coach of the Year Award. The future is bright indeed! The Golden State Warriors finished off the Cleveland Cavaliers in five games to avenge losing their 3-1 stranglehold on the Cavs from last season. Kevin Durant fit in seamlessly with Golden State and relished balling out on The Finals stage. All that and much more on tonight's show! Tune in y'all!

Gonna be a special treat tonight on multiple levels. Kentucky baseball has made program history by winning the Lexington Regional via the loser's bracket which included defeating the North Carolina State Wolfpack twice. The grind and journey toward Omaha and the College World Series continues as they now travel to Louisville to face the Cardinals in the Super Regional beginning on Friday afternoon. The state of Kentucky is so turnt up! Game 3 of the NBA Finals tips off tonight with the scene shifting to Cleveland. Can the Cavs muster up enough to get a victory and get back into the series against these Golden State Warriors? Another one of Vinny's fellow Harlan Countians, the great Bernie Bickerstaff, will join us at 7:00 to discuss it! Seismic moves in the college football and basketball coaching ranks as Thad Matta and Bob Stoops are leaving Ohio State and Oklahoma respectively. Believe it or not, spring practice for UK football has come and gone. It all culminated with the #BlueWhite Spring Game in Commonwealth Stadium last Friday night. We'll look at a little bit of who did what while at the same time not reading too much into it as far as foreshadowing is concerned for the 2017 season. College basketball's season has come to an end! Now the restructuring of Kentucky's roster for 2017-18 has begun in earnest. De'Aaron Fox and Malik Monk have declared for the NBA Draft and hired agents as expected. Bam Adebayo is testing the waters to see what kind of feedback he receives. We'll also discuss De'Aaron and Malik's displays of appreiation for the Big Blue Nation as well as what other moves may be on the way. Our guest this evening will be a lotta fun.
