Jesus Emmanuel – God is with us!

No one enjoys waiting - especially kids the day before Christmas! For many folks in the Old Testament, they waited their entire lives to see the fulfillment of God's promised Messiah. It wasn't until 2,000 later that this promise was fulfilled when God sent His Son Jesus to be born in Bethlehem. God's timing is perfect (Galatians 4:4) and He always keeps His promises. But often times it requires waiting. Listen as Scripture teaches us how to wait ... because there is another Christmas to come! ACT II awaits us!

In this message we’ll look at the prophets’ and the Gospel’s declaration of Jesus as the source of peace.  We’ll be challenged by Scripture to be filled with the Holy Spirit that produces peace in our lives and to actually pursue peace by asking and thanking God for it. 

Matthew chapter 1 begins with Jesus' genealogy. But it’s actually anything but boring as there are some scandalous people mentioned in Jesus’ family tree. We’ll briefly uncover the dirt on Tamar, Bathsheba, Rahab, and Ruth. Through these people that are mentioned we learn that God’s plans are bigger than our mistakes, that God is more concerned about our future than our past, and He’s invited us to become part of his family tree.

Comparing yourself to family, friends or the media and you just don't measure up?  This week we cover the lie that you can't measure up.

This week we cover the lie its what you DO that matters.  The truth is that you are not what you did, you are not what you do, and you are not what you are going to do. You are who God says you are!

You've heard it before - "it is what it is."  Sometimes we use this phrase on ourselves as an excuse to not change.  "I am what I am.  I can't change."  But this is another of Satan's lies. In this message we'll find scripture that will supply us with some smart strategies to help debunk this lie and propel us toward real life change.

Satan is the father of lies and he loves to tell you things that are not true  In this first message of the "Don't Lie to Me" series, Pastor Dave discusses one of those lies.  Satan will tell you that you have to do it all on your own.  But, that isn't true!

The Bible says it can bring both life and death to our relationships (Proverbs 18:21). In this teaching, we explore Scripture's truth about the power of our words and are challenged to use them to build others up (Ephesians 4:29).
