On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) is here to break down the Panthers' 5-3 loss against the New York Rangers, where the Panthers had a two goal lead with less than five minutes left in the second, and then surrendered four unanswered goals to officially end their chances of getting home-ice in round one of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Sam Reinhart lit the lamp twice and Carter Verhaeghe is once again a 20-goal scorer after struggling mightily this season. Dmitry Kulikov and Sam Bennett made their returns to the lineup, while the entire Lundell line along with Mackie Samoskevich got the rest on Monday. On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in Nich Fairbanks(@Prudentia0) to break down the Panthers' 4-1 win over the Detroit Red Wings, where it was the second straight game where the Panthers put on a clinic. The Panthers got scoring chances but had a hard time finishing, but it came to fruition in the second period with three goals in the frame. The tone was started by the defense as they were consistently activating in the play, and the Panthers had multiple full line changes due to their forecheck. Evan Rodrigues got in on the scoring for the first time since March 1st, and Barkov is now a 20-goal scorer for the 10th time in his career. The two brea down the Panthers' 3-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs to wrap up the season series at 3-1-0. In their fourth and final game, the Panthers were in total control through the 60 minutes, where the Panthers gave the top players from Toronto nothing through the neutral zone. Panthers were able to roll their four lines as the pucks were constantly deep, and had their physical presence felt with 43 hits on the night. On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) brought in Jacob Winans(@Jacobwinans8) to the show to break down the Panthers' 3-2 OT loss to Montreal in a game where the Panthers looked like they were on their way to getting two regulation points, only for it to be snatched with just over eight seconds left in the third period and then the Habs ending it under 30 seconds into overtime. Florida was able to control play in the final 40 minutes of the game after losing Nico Sturm in the first period due to friendly fire on a collision with AJ Greer, and even Aleksander Barkov for parts of the second period.
