It was a near perfect game for the Cats as they suffocated the Rangers in their own end for most of the night. Florida was able to suppress shots once again that allowed Sergei Bobrovsky to leave his best for last. New York came into the series with the best power play in the postseason, but Florida stayed disciplined on the night where they went to the box only twice. Rangers tried different line combinations to try to create some type of spark but they could not get anything going. On today's edition of the Locked On FLORIDA Panthers Podcast, Armando Velez(@Mandoman12) welcomes in David Lasseter(@davidlasseter) to break down Florida's 6-3 loss against the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Bolts came out like a team with a purpose as they limited the Panthers to five shots in the first 20 minutes. The Panthers gave up goals in all situations as they allowed two goals on the power play(including a 5-on-3), two at four-on-four, and a short handed goal. It was not the best of games from Sergei Bobrovsky as he gave up multiple goals from distance with no screens in front, and bit hard on Brayden Point's fake before finishing his wraparound. Tampa Bay was able to gain the zone more easily on the afternoon and caught the Panthers multiple times that led to breakaways. Sam Reinhart scored just as the power play ended for Florida to make it 4-2, which was officially goal number 60.
