http://www.amandamillerlittlejohn.com Have you ever hesitated to reach out to an old friend or colleague because you felt guilty for falling out of touch? Or maybe you wondered if the person would remember you, or care to connect at all after "all this time"? I've personally been in that position and I've also watched clients struggle to put themselves out there and make the first move to re-engage old colleagues even online. But a recent trip to Tennessee reminded me just how quickly you can break those old relationships back in, and how often our fears around reaching out and being potentially rejected are unfounded. If you haven't gotten around to reaching out to an old contact, be encouraged that it's not as awkward as you may fear it to be. More often than not, your old connections will be thrilled to hear from you, and glad you got the communication ball rolling again.
