On the evening of July 19, 2023, Pastor Jeff Stroud preached on “What Tested Faith Looks Like”. Earlier that day, we recorded the following testimony… a beautiful testimony of faith. As I sat in that service, I couldn’t help but think of how perfectly Cliff and Sis Gayla Royer truly exemplified “What Tested Faith Looks Like.” Their love for God and trust in God is what has carried them through, what has brought them through the darkest days, without bitterness, but with thanksgiving and hope. No matter what comes, God is our Master Weaver. He takes all our hurt, and makes something so beautiful out of it. Welcome to our “Hall of Faith”….where we will share testimonies of God’s goodness. First, we share Nicole’s story of miraculous deliverance and grace!

We live in a self-centered society and as believers we cannot be self-centered. We have to have consideration for our brethren and be aware of our actions so we don’t become stumbling blocks intentionally or unintentionally.

There will come times were we will be persecuted for what we believe. But we cannot let ourselves be distracted by this world. Eternity is at stake here!

This world is flooding with chaos and people need peace. We must remember that God has called us to be peacemakers not troublemakers. We need to give people the comfort of peace and let them know that God can give them peace within.

Our heart is the center of our personality and who you are. And we must make sure that our heart is pure and undivided. Nothing that is impure will enter the kingdom of Heaven.

We must be merciful to others who are living sinfully. Of course none of us by nature are merciful, it’s hard work to become this way. But God promises mercy to those who are merciful and who’s hearts are aligned with Him.

We must get to the point where we are hungry after righteousness not the things of this world. Hunger is not a passing feeling, it grows until it is satisfied, and that’s how we must be about righteousness until the day comes when we all get to Heaven with Jesus.

The first two beatitudes have been what we need to work at on the inside, but now we will focus on the inside. Meekness is about how you interact with others, mainly how you respond to them. We all have the opportunity to be rude and negative to others but we need to be set apart and treat people with kindness so that they may see our light through Jesus.

What are Beatitudes you may ask? This series goes into details as to what they mean and how to apply them in life. There are a total of 8 beatitudes, and you must grasp this first one because if you don’t you won’t get the rest.
