Knowing your worth (evaluating your value in work & in life)
06/01/2020 Duration: 11minI’m going to answer this question in two parts. The first part will be how to evaluate your worth when applying for jobs or pursuing a job promotion or raise. The second part will be evaluating your value as a person and what that looks like in your relationships. Professional Don’t undervalue yourself. You are worth so much more than you think you are. Understand that the market plays a role (pay scale) Understand the company you want to work for (Glassdoor) Evaluate what you’re making now in comparison to pay scale and Glassdoor The market is a good indicator of what to ask for but understand that companies don’t pay everyone equally. Always ask for way more than your worth. Go to the career and professional development center at whatever college you went to (if you can) Personal life Don’t undervalue yourself. You deserve the fucking world. Put yourself first (within reason). Be your own advocate. Be vocal about your standards. Royalty-Free Music Attributions: Intro: Take It Easy by Bad Snacks Outro:

Money scripts, being tired of the struggle, & getting your sh*t together w/ Black Technologist Khadijah Sawyer
09/12/2019 Duration: 48minToday, I’m super excited because I finally got Ms. Khadijah Sawyer on the show! I met Khadeja at work and we immediately hit it off because we started talking about money and financial plans and I haven’t met many people in person who like to talk about money and the things they have learned about money so candidly. It’s was very refreshing. I think one of the most exciting things about her is that she just recently bought a house and she’s only 23 years old! When I first proposed having her on the show, I thought we would talk about just that! The fact that she has been able to buy a home this young and at a time where it seems like people our age are not anywhere near that goal. As we started talking, I realized that what’s more interesting is the fact that she’s in a place in her life where she has the opportunity to do something amazing and big like buy a house! You guys know I have such a terrible track record with making good financial decisions and over the past two years I have been slowly cleaning up

The Top 5 Mistakes I've Made in My 23-year-old Life (still counting)
16/09/2019 Duration: 21minToday, by popular demand, I’m going to be talking about my top five biggest mistakes. Before you go thinking I’m being hard on myself. Just keep in mind I have a pretty dark sense of humor and I like poking fun at myself. It’s how I grow and move on from all the stupid shit I’ve done. Some of my biggest mistakes are finance related, some are relationship related, lifestyle, and car-related because I have to have a category for that. If you’re at a stage in your life where you’re not sure you’re making the right decisions or you feel like you keep fucking up. I’ve got great news. I feel like I have my shit together pretty well and you’re about to hear a lot of unbecoming stories about myself that have all happened in the last 6-7 years. My top five mistakes I've made in my 23-year-old life: 5. The time I did a hit and run (long time ago plz don’t judge). 4. Having a boyfriend my freshmen year of college. 3. The time I parked in a private parking garage and got my car trapped while working for favor. 2. Going
