For this final episode of season 1, I wanted to feature some projects that highlight some of the best, and worst parts about making the move to live somewhere new. David Carillo, Mexican-American, and creator of the Intermediate-French web series and the podcast Mijes Away and June Chua, Canadian journalist and host of the podcast, Empire of Dreams. When you arrive in a new country, one of the things you miss most is food from home. Those comfort foods your parents used to make or ones you shared with friends at a favorite restaurant. For this episode, host Lory Martinez interviews women with different cultural backgrounds about the experience of seeking out the feeling one gets from those meals.
