Deep Electronica/Disco House/Trip Hop.   This is a cheeky homage to yes, you guessed it... The Late Night Tales music compilations. What I loved about these is that they are a homage to the history of the chosen DJ or artist's musical tastes. Kinda like a musical story of where they came from and which tracks stood out along the journey. I also like that they are not really meant for the dance-floor and are quite eclectic. I loved the Air and Jamiroquai ones. You might recognize the odd track in this mix. I put together my own version that was based around a history of deep electronic music - a tour from Detroit to Chicago to Warp Records with some disco house thrown in. There are a lot of other cities represented like New York, Bristol, Paris, Sheffield, Leicester... The natural place to start was with a few Larry Heard type tracks. This was how the tracklisting evolved and I recently played this out at Resurrection Spirits in East Vancouver and recorded the live mix then put it through my sound optimization
